Women Farmers Day 2021

Let’s celebrate, encourage and recognize the Women Entrepreneurs and their Enablers.

Krushi Vikas va Gramin Prashikshan Sanstha (also known as Krushi Vikas), Malkapur, Maharashtra has been working since 1991 in the field of Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development across India through different verticals such as Sustainable Agriculture, Promotion of FPOs, Natural Resource Management, Community Development Projects, Women & Youth Empowerment along with Farm and Non-farm activities. We are also empanelled & affiliated with multiple Government organisations (like NABARD, NAFED, SFAC & NCDC, MANAGE) & with private organisations as an CSR implementing agency and also been awarded with many prestigious awards for this selfless contribution in the Development Sector.

We, being a leader in this sector for the last 10 years, have identified the need for Capacity Building and Handholding support, we are starting with a fully devoted initiative viz., “All About FPO” to ensure sustainability of FPOs & its ecosystem surrounding.

Kasturi is a feminine network of producers for consumers by service providers. It facilitates women enterprises across the value chain of the food sector. This includes collectives of farmers (FPOs, NGOs & SHGs), service providers (educators, suppliers, channel partners, food processors, funders, technology providers & volunteers) & consumers.

On the occasion of “WOMEN FARMERS DAY 2021” we are calling for action to encourage rural women to grow their capacities and shape their lives in better ways. This day is also celebrated as International Day of Rural Women 2021 by UNWomen. Rural women and girls are leaders in agriculture, food security and nutrition, land, managing natural resources and domestic care work.

We are celebrating the Navratri Festival with a weeklong online event to share the inspiring stories from successful Women Entrepreneurs (Women Lead FPOs/SHGs/Women Entrepreneurs/Women Officials/Directors/CEOs etc.) in collaboration with Kasturi – Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development.

We are calling for the nominations from your organization of the women representatives/organisations with inspiring journeys and stand in solidarity with rural women. All such entries will be represented during the Navratri Festival and the final recognition ceremony will be held on 15th October during the valedictory function.
