ElemenTree Education Foundation ElemenTree visions to empower children with adequate and appropriate climate knowledge, skills and capacity. We are on a mission to prepare next generation climate leaders who will steer a climate conscious and resilient society. We are creating a repository of resources to strengthen and build capacity for Quality Climate Literacy, encourage teacher training to include climate education as an integral part of curricula, and inspire children to take innovative design projects for Climate Action.
Our Climate curriculum is locally contextualized and focuses more on designing local adaptation and action solutions. We do not want children to feel anxious or afraid of climate change but rather confident to contribute to mitigation and adaption. We work with educational institutions, specifically with schools focusing on designing, implementing, and monitoring interventions toward climate change education divided into 4 focus areas.
Focus 1: Climate Literacy and Student Leadership
Focus 2: Integration of Climate Change in Educational Institution Curricula
Focus 3: Training and Teaching Materials for Teachers and Educators
Focus 4: Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Campuses
