Azim Premji University was established under the Azim Premji University Act 2010 of the Government of Karnataka. Azim Premji Foundation, the sponsoring body set up the University as a fully philanthropic and not-for-profit entity, with a clear social purpose. The University started in 2011 and since then have admitted over 2000 students.

Azim Premji University is inviting teachers, educators, parents, leaders and other functionaries in education for a webinar on Situating children’s voices in Foundational Learning.

Description

The National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (NCF-FS, 2022) proposes that the curriculum should be drawn from children’s life so that it reflects their culture and context. In this webinar we will talk about the importance of listening to children and the need to include their voices in our curriculum. The webinar will also discuss practices that can support ECE professionals to incorporate children’s voices and life experiences in their content and teaching at the Foundational Stage.

The 90 minute interactive session will discuss what it means to listen to children and its significance in the Foundational stage curriculum.
