VidyaGyan Admissions
The Shiv Nadar Foundation (India’s largest private philanthropic organization with investments of USD 800 million till March, 2018), was set up in 1994 by Shiv Nadar, Founder & Chairman of HCL (a USD 10 billion global enterprise). The Foundation aims to aid leadership development from rural India. In 2009, the Foundation set up VidyaGyan, a leadership academy for underprivileged and rural meritorious children in Uttar Pradesh
The Shiv Nadar Foundation established two VidyaGyan residential campuses with approximately 900 students at each campus. The students belong to families with annual income of less than INR 1,00,000. VidyaGyan is a fully residential, co-educational school from grade 6 to 12. Annually, we conduct one of the largest school-level selection processes in the country to identify 200 top performers from 250,000 students who appear for the written exam.
VidyaGyan is a co-educational and completely residential campus which provides state-of-the-art Computer, Math and Science laboratories, indoor sports rooms, amphitheatre, art blocks and outdoor sports arena including football, basketball and an athletics ground. Apart from academics we focus on holistic development of students by providing them 21st century skills
In 2016, the founding batch of students appeared for their school grade 12th exams. The average percentage scored by the class was 85 and about one third of the students scored above 90%. By 2021, the average score of the current grade 12thpass out is 95.5%, with highest being 100%.
We now have 1500+ alumni who have passed out of VidyaGyan and are now pursuing their undergrad in prestigious universities across India like IITs, NITs, NIFTs, VIT, AIIMS, SRM, Delhi University, Bangalore University, Aligarh University among others. We also have 15 students in the US pursuing their undergrad on 100% scholarship from the US itself in prestigious colleges like Stanford, Cornell, Wellesley, Washington & Lee among others.

We are ready to go to every state/UT in order to identify talent through our robust selection process test and interview. The admission will be in Grade 6th & 7th both for boys as well as girls.

Age criteria
For Entry to Grade VI: The student needs to be currently studying in Grade V
- Girl child needs to be in grade V, with min age 10 and max. 12 as on 31/ March/ 2022
- Boy child needs to be in grade V, with min age 10 and max. 11 as on 31/ March/ 2022
For Entry to Grade VII: The student needs to be currently studying in Grade VI
- Girl child needs to be in grade VI, with min age 11 and max. 13 as on 31/ March/ 2022
- Boy child needs to be in grade VI, with min age 11 and max. 12 as on 31/ March/ 2022
Academic history: Students should have obtained a minimum of 55% in previous Grade
