The/Nudge is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India, within our lifetime. We will partner with governments, markets and civil society to build resilient livelihoods for all.
The/Nudge Institute is offering a grant of ₹50 lakhs to a non-profit startup working on resilient livelihoods.
The/Nudge Accelerator is a philanthropic fund to accelerate early-stage nonprofits. across the year on a rolling basis, we select organizations that have potential to achieve outsized impact, sustainably and invest deeply in them for a period of 12-24 months. During this time, The Nudge CSI Partners work closely with the founders while the The/Nudge CSI Mentors work closely with the organisations’ core teams to get their ideas in the best possible shape – ready to fundraise, hire and scale. Alongside, we offer an a grant of INR 50 lakhs in the first year and upto INR 150 lacs in the second year, a network of world-class mentors, and connects to potential partners who can accelerate their path to scale readiness.
The Covid-19 pandemic has set us back in the war against poverty by a decade or more. The need for innovation to solve problems at the base of the pyramid has never been greater. We are a ₹ 40 crore philanthropic fund looking to help nonprofit startups grow and scale.
Who can apply?
If you match the following requirements, apply today:
- Early-stage startup (1-5 years) with a well defined program.
- Registered as a section 8 company, a trust or a society.
- Core team across functions in place.
- Your solution provides resilient livelihoods for the poorest of the poor or acts as a change transmitter providing financial, marketing or technology agency to the underserved for resilient livelihoods.
- You have raised money from other sources.

- Dedicated mentoring (12-24 months) by some of India’s most admired leaders.
- Grant of INR 50 lakhs in the first year and upto INR 150 lacs in the second year.

- Help with key milestones like brand building, funding, product-market fit etc. in an accelerated manner.
Application Process
- Round 1 – The first round entails filling up an application form wherein you will share details about the problem you are solving, the solution approach and your team. Deadline: 22nd May’22

Round 2 – Shortlisted applications from Round 1 will be asked to submit a detailed business plan for the next round. Deadline: 29th May’22

Round 3 – Viability showcase and model impact through a site visit. 4th week of June’22

Round 4 – Interview with CSI partners. 2nd week of July’22
