By the end of journey you will gain knowledge beyond your reality, you will learn to live resourcefully, to work in diverse teams, and to improve self-confidence, tolerance and social skills, and be part of change.
To enrich your personal development and further step away from your comfort zones you will also take part in:
– Weekly interactions with national and international social-change makers.
– Learning and story circles to share and reflect challenges
– Exposure trips
Since 2014 Janamangal has been working for the upliftment of women affected by domestic violence through women empowerment programs, campaigns, counseling, leadership, independency and entrepreneurship development. During the one month journey you will be involved in various activities like conducting surveys, raising awareness around social issues, creating process for sustainability of projects.

You must, however, meet the following criteria if you wish to apply
In terms of clothing it would be useful to go with community dressing which means wearing traditional Indian clothing like Kurta-pyjama and Salwar-suit. This would assist the acceptance and homogenization of the participants in the otherwise new community.
The suggested range of contributions is INR 6,000 – 11,000. The participants are encouraged to contribute as per their heart and financial situation. The ones who are capable of contributing on the higher side are encouraged to do so, as we also wish to accommodate a few individuals who are not in a position to contribute financially.
