TAPAS Online Certificate Courses

The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) is the nodal training and research institute in the field of Social Defence. NISD is currently focusing on human resource development in the areas of drug abuse prevention, welfare of senior citizens, transgender welfare and beggary prevention.

TAPAS (Training for Augmenting Productivity and Services) is the Online Learning Management Platform created by NISD. TAPAS is a user friendly platform following the four quadrant approach in one line education – Video lectures, supplementary learning material, discussion forum and self-assessment. Through TAPAS, NISD is offering self-paced Online certificate courses in the key areas of Social Defence -Elderly care, Substance (Drug) Abuse prevention and Transgender issues.

The lectures in the course are given by eminent subject matter experts in the area from reputed institutions. Being an online course, these courses can be taken by anybody and learn at one’s own pace. Those who are interested in getting the certificate should fulfil the requirements of the course, such as submission of assignments and appearing in the final online examination.

Eligibility

These courses are open to one and all. Anybody who is interested to learn or enhance their knowledge and understanding in these areas are welcome.

Duration

The enrolment in the courses would be open for one month from the start of the course. The course would run for two months from the start date. The course can be completed anytime within this duration. The final online examination would be conducted after the course end date. Please visit the NISD website for the exact dates.
