Last date for registration is 10th December, 2021

Seeds of Peace develops courageous leaders. Our network now includes 7,300 alumni throughout the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, and the United States who are uniquely positioned. We equip exceptional youth and educators with the skills and relationships to work in solidarity across lines of difference to create more just and inclusive societies. Seeds of Peace focuses on personal transformation and then wider societal change.

GATHER is a community of tenacious and rooted individuals who believe in showing up for each other and are committed to using their individual and collective power to meaningfully change the systems that perpetuate conflict and oppression.

We recognize that change requires multiple approaches and for all of us to work in various ways across all elements of society. As a community, reaching beyond traditional boundaries and divides, we are a living example of the world that we are working to build and proof that it can exist.

Seeds of Peace launched the GATHER Fellowship in order to amplify the exceptional efforts by its alumni community and other innovative individuals whose ideas and work indicate that they have the greatest potential to contribute to positive change in their communities and to disrupting the status quo of conflict.

WHAT IS THE GATHER FELLOWSHIP?

The GATHER Fellowship is a program that works with individuals to accelerate and deepen the impact of their initiatives and support the realization of their ideas and their work. There are three key programmatic components to the GATHER Fellowship: Community Building, Personal Growth, and Project Development. There are a number of ways that we have built these elements into our program structure: personal capacity-building coaching; Impact and action-oriented coaching, regular Community-wide virtual meetings, and skill-building workshops.

GATHER values our community of experts and we have embraced an educational approach that centers our fellows’ expertise and experience through a series of workshops and sessions led by the fellows themselves. Fellow’s also support and learn from one another in a series of small group “Pods” where they present individual challenges and collectively workshop solutions.

Activities of the Fellowship may vary from one Fellow to the other depending on their project and its stage of development. Historically, the launch of the GATHER Fellowship has served as the cornerstone in our community-building process and includes a five-day intensive program comprising peer learning, professional skill-building, and networking.

While the GATHER Fellowship activities are spread over half a year, the Fellows’ access to the GATHER network and Seeds of Peace community continues beyond the Fellowship duration. Seeds of Peace and GATHER’s worldwide network of industry leaders and change-agents will open the doors necessary to help fellows learn, feel supported, and achieve their stated impact.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

The GATHER Fellowship invests in individuals from different sectors and backgrounds who are working to address conflict and oppression in the Middle East, South Asia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

We are organizing our GATHER Summit 2022 in Marrakech, Morocco from February 11 to 15, 2022. The purpose of this Summit is to launch GATHER Hubs which will be a local chapter of people coming together with the help of a leader with a specific objective centered around social change.

We are looking for potential participants (age: 18+) at GATHER Summit 2022 who could be potential Hub Leaders.

Specifically we’re looking for:

  1. A community leader/ builder: – someone who’s been working with local communities to advance social change around conflict- and will benefit largely from support around leadership, skill-building, outreach platforms and logistics from GATHER. We recognize that getting together is already an act of defiance! We are looking for those who bring communities together to talk, process, heal, and grow.
  2. A potential ambassador : We’re hoping that these participants could advocate and actively direct communities they’re a part of to become members and reap the most out of being a part of it.
  3. A potential fellow – a leader at the cusp of turning his/her/their ‘project’ into something BIGGER. Someone who would seek and benefit from conscious, intensive support in terms of leadership, connections, and platforms from GATHER to advance impact.

As we’re sticking to an invite-only Indian cohort, we’d love to get your recommendations/nominations.
