Global Shapers Community Noida Hub is committed to improving the state of the world. It is one of the hubs of the Global Shapers Community.

Hub Vision: To build an inclusive and impact-driven hub that will shape the future of the city and put it on the Global Map.

Goal: To contribute to the larger community’s goal i.e., to improve the state of the world by action-oriented interventions to improve the state of our city and participate in global dialogues.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply to Noida Shapers if:

You are between 18-27 years old; align with the missions of the larger Global Shapers Community.
Residents of or live close to the hub city (You are a full-time resident of Delhi NCR region and are committed to serving in
Noida region. Please note our preference would be people who can prove significant ties to Noida city)
Committed to working to improve their community.
Interested in developing their leadership potential.
Work well in teams and are collaborative in spirit.

Additional Requirements:

Should you be selected for Shapers Class of 2022, please note:

All freshmen Shapers must significantly contribute to a project to completion in their freshman year in order to remain a Shaper in 2022-2023;
Class of 2022 Shapers will be required to complete a new member survey after their selection to confirm their acceptance;
Class of 2022 Shapers will be required to attend an induction programme
All Noida Shapers are required to attend an annual retreat every year;
Class of 2022 Shapers are invited and highly encouraged to join the SHAPE events and apply for WEF events (selection based).
Review and accept our Hub Charter and pledge right after probation period is over

Application Process

ROUND 1:

Online Application
Please complete the application before January, 31 2022.
After reviewing the application, we will invite finalists to join a telephonic interview.

ROUND 2:

Virtual interview – Finalists from Round 1 will be invited to join a virtual interview where experts from the Recruitment team will set up video interaction with you to know you better.

ROUND 3: Assignment

Global Shapers is an international community focused on social impact. While we enjoy spending time with each other and learning together, a core aspect of being a Shaper is working together on special initiatives that have a positive social impact. Second-year Shapers are required to co-lead an initiative, or “project,” decided by the Founding Curator, Hub Mentors and the Hub members to completion in their second year in order to remain an active Shaper in subsequent years. As Global Shapers, we work together on community-oriented projects. Projects can take on challenges on a local, regional, or global level. For Round 3 of the Global Shapers application, we want to see how well you contribute as a team. You’ll given an assignment/task to be completed in a timeline which will give you an idea of the kind of work we do. For Round 2 of the Global Shapers application, we want to know:

What would you do in one year with one team to have a maximum social impact?

We wish to judge your understanding of:

Problem Statement
How would you address the problem?
Resources you’d need to address the problem
What outcomes, milestones, and final deliverables would you expect to see, and over what time horizon?
What risks would the project entail?

You will be evaluated by current Shapers/Experts based on the project’s potential for social impact; the approach you take, including the action plan, projected milestones and final outcomes, and partners/team; your overall persuasiveness and passion; and how you respond during Q&A.
