Madhya Pradesh NIPUN Professionals Program

The Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP) has been at the forefront of education reforms. In line with the guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020 and to achieve the vision of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, GoMP launched Mission Ankur, the State’s Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) mission. Its goal is to achieve universal FLN skills for students in Grades 1, 2, and 3 by 2026-2027.

The Madhya Pradesh NIPUN Professionals Program aims to strengthen the implementation of Mission Ankur by enlisting 52 young and dynamic professionals to work with the district administration. They will serve as catalysts for driving mission implementation and resolving complex challenges in the education system. The program is a collaboration between GoMP and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. It provides a unique two-year, full-time, paid experiential opportunity to lead large-scale systemic reforms and achieve foundational learning goals in Madhya Pradesh.

The Government of Madya Pradesh in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai is launching the MP NIPUN Professionals Program. The program is a unique 2-year, full-time, paid experiential opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising youth to lead large-scale system reform towards achieving foundational learning goals in the state. About the Program
Through the MP NIPUN Professionals program, the Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP) is aiming to augment its efforts on strengthening implementation of the mission by inviting young professionals to work with the system to solve complex challenges in education.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The MP NIPUN Professional will work closely with District Collectors, CEO-ZP and district education team to build system capacity, strengthen governance structures, drive data-based decision making and energize the district ecosystem to ultimately improve student learning outcomes. NIPUN Professionals will execute multiple projects to drive implementation across Mission Ankur (NIPUN Madhya Pradesh) initiatives.

What kind of people are we looking for

• Young and self-driven professionals who are passionate about education, public policy and addressing governance challenges on a large scale, as well as a desire to make a positive social impact.
• Leadership potential that can be developed & demonstrated through the two-year program.
• Applicants should possess a range of skills, including critical thinking, keenness to work at grassroots level in rural areas, excellent problem-solving abilities, excellent problem solving skills, ability to build and maintain working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, and an ability to take initiatives independently.
• Working proficiency in both Hindi and English languages
• Our goal is to build a diverse cohort, so we encourage individuals from various backgrounds, fields, and experiences to apply.

Key responsibilities include:

Diagnosis of implementation issues

• Generating insights from the ground through stakeholder consultations
• Providing feedback to the state program

Building capacity of functionaries

• Reinforcing key messages and priorities
• Providing handholding support
• Energizing the cadre and community through local campaigns

Strengthening the monitoring systems

• Streamlining data collection and analysis
• Improving data reliability
• Improving quality of review meetings

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Must be an Indian citizen
2. Must be under or exactly 32 years of age as on 31st July, 2023
3. Must have completed graduation or post-graduation from a recognized university with minimum 55% pass percentage or an equivalent CGPA in their highest qualification as on 31st July, 2023
4. Minimum 9 months of full-time work experience with a Postgraduate qualification OR minimum 18 months of full-time work experience with an Undergraduate degree (excluding internships or any part time engagements) as on 31st July, 2023
5. Fluent in spoken and written Hindi and English

Compensation

As a MP NIPUN Professionals you will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 80,000.
