Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, we develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.

Room to Read India launched on Tuesday its “IVR Toll-Free” number 1800120555550 in #Telangana to expand the reach and provide Life Skills training to all children across the state. The Honorable Education Minister appreciated #RoomtoReadIndia for its efforts in reaching 5 lakh girls through various programs during the ongoing pandemic across the state. The ministers urged parents and teachers to take the initiative and encourage everyone working for children to make use of this toll-free facility.
