With the second wave of COVID-19 having abated, several states are looking at plausible options to reopen schools safely.
In the upcoming ‘Let’s Talk Policy’ session, we debate this complex issue and explore solutions for the safe reopening of schools. The long list of recommended safety precautions – from mask-wearing to well-ventilated classrooms – may present a challenge for many schools, especially those that serve lower-income students already disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. The question is, are we ready yet to remodel the education system in the post-pandemic world?
We catch up on all this and more with the esteemed panel of educationists, including Shaheen Mistri, CEO, Teach for India, Dr. Mahesh Balsekar, Consultant Paediatrician, Deepika Sharma, Principal, Grand Columbus International, Faridabad, Shalini Bakliwal, entrepreneur & parent and Raghavendra Yadav, student, grade 11. The event will be moderated by renowned journalist, Nidhi Razdan.
‘Let’s Talk Policy’ is a panel discussion series initiated by Kautilya School of Public Policy, that brings forth a select group of panellists, sharing differing views on key issues of national and global relevance, and building the dialogue into a conversation for the student community.
The series aims to unravel major themes around democracy, politics, and human rights, and explore the challenges and rewards of implementing practices. We aim to create a cohesive platform and call on thematic experts to foster a healthy dialogue around the most-pressing issues.
