Started by a group of motivated, well-educated, and experienced enthusiasts, YDF thrives to strengthen the upcoming generation with easy access to quality education through proper guidance and financial aid leading toward their life ambitions. YDF has been actively engaged with the students and community to reach out and have provided financial aid through an extensive workshop, adequately designed programs, seminar, and its scholarship cell.
About the Role:
This role is of Program Associate/Senior Program Associate at YDF. The Program Associate/Senior Program Associate shall play an active role in outcome delivery, and government stakeholder engagement. You will be working closely with government departments and collaborating with other organizations to drive transformation in Scholarship access and outreach. You will work under the guidance of the Program Manager/Senior Program Manager to identify the problem, study the existing mechanisms and schemes on scholarships in the public sector, strategize the solution to improve the process of implementation of the scholarship schemes across departments, and support the implementation of the scholarship schemes.
The typical day at work shall look like but not limited to:
a. Diagnosis of the systemic problems in the scholarship process.
b. Engage with Government stakeholders, and other stakeholders to discuss progress, and coordinate with them to align on program objectives and next steps.
c. Conduct field visits and focused group discussions to gather data understand the systemic process and co-create improvised solutions.
d. Research and synthesize large quantitative and qualitative data on existing policies and schemes.
e. Collaborate with partner organisations and co-create solutions and implementation strategies to effectuate the scholarship process.
Required competencies:
We are looking for individuals who are critical thinkers, can analyze government schemes and identify the gaps in their design and implementation, and create solutions for improving the effectiveness and accessibility to the schemes.
a. Graduate or Post-Graduate in any discipline (preferably not mandatorily social work, law, public policy, sociology, economics, etc.)
b. 2-6 years work experience of working in the development sector.
c. Past experience working in public policy, implementing large schemes, and closely working with government departments is desirable.
d. Candidates who have worked on scholarship schemes shall be given preference.
e. Open to travel within the State and inter-state at least 7-10 days in a month.
