The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) India, located in Mumbai, serves as a trusted space where policymakers, business executives, technology experts and other key stakeholders help shape the future of the Fourth Industrial Revolution with the purpose and objective of accelerating impact through the co-design and implementation of policy and governance . In partnership with NITI, Central government ministries, leading state governments and industry partners, the Centre in India has been focussing on projects on national priorities to accelerate the adoption of 4IR technologies.

The Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) is a newly created community that engages leaders globally in frontier, fast-growing segments of the energy system like clean fuels and electricity, storage, demand management, services and direct air carbon capture. The community aims to speed up deployment of advanced energy solutions from years to months while transforming green premium into a triple bottom line bonus.

Moreover, India plays a central role in the global energy transition. It is a large, fast-growing demand centre and at the same time one of the most ambitious leaders in advanced energy solutions. The 4IR technologies will be central to advanced energy with increasing convergence of future energies and digital revolution. The Forum`s C4IR and AES believe that we are uniquely positioned to support business, government and stakeholders in the country on this journey by creating strong links between India, the global AES community and broader Energy, Materials and Infrastructure platform (ENMATI).

The incumbent will work with business leaders across multiple industries and with other stakeholders. Internally, they will collaborate extensively across the organization. The position will report to Head, Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution India, while at the same time would be fully integrated in the AES team in terms of activity and content with a dotted reporting line to Manager, Advanced Energy Solutions Industry.

Advancing green hydrogen will be an initial thematic focus area. Key deliverable in first 12 months would include leading the development of the Enabling Measures Roadmap in India in the framework of the Accelerating Clean Hydrogen Initiative. Further topics may include new nuclear fusion, green ammonia, storage, advanced renewables and other.

Breakdown of main responsibilities

Main objective is to help stakeholders speed up deployment of advanced energy solutions while transforming green premium into a triple bottom line bonus. To enable this impact, the incumbent will drive stakeholders` s engagement on key topics of relevance, while creating strong links between India, the global Advanced Energy Solutions community the ENMATI platform and Centre for 4th Industrial revolution. Moreover, they will strive to secure resources to support the activity, particularly by mobilizing Fellows seconded to the Forum from partner organizations, raising direct funding for initiatives and other forms of support as well as driving acquisition of potential new partners to the Forum.

40% – Project Management

• Identify the most relevant topics for stakeholders in India that can leverage global work of the AES community and EMNATI platform in convergence with Centre for 4th Industrial revolution
• Nurture companies’ leadership to champion community development and initiatives
• Plan and drive Indian chapters of AES and ENMATI initiatives in convergence with C4IR
• Disseminate content of these initiatives through thought leadership pieces at the Forum agenda and other media

30% – Partnership Development

• Mobilize Fellows to be seconded to the Initiative
• Raise direct funding for Initiative
• Contribute to expanding number of partner companies in the community

30% – Community Building

• Build strong CEO engagement
• Engage public figures, civil society, academia or others in the Forum’s multi-stakeholder network
• Identify key challenges and opportunities for chief executives, heads of strategy and other senior executives
• Contribute to retaining community members
• Lead events planning and production

Preferred Requirements and Experience

• 8-10 years of professional experience in both public and private sectors with expertise in a relevant industry
•  Experience in conceptualizing, building and leading multi-organization collaborations that deliver impact
• Demonstrated ability to building strong relationships with industry leaders and other stakeholders within complex organizations and multi-cultural environments
• Proven track record in developing and nurturing new partnerships
• Experience in community building
• Proven agility, with a strong orientation for delivering results while embracing change
• Outstanding communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
• Proficient in using CRM tools
