Program Officer – Volunteering Engagement : Wipro Foundation

Wipro Foundation represents the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of Wipro Limited. Going back over two decades, we focus on social initiatives in Education, Health, Ecology, and Disaster Response.

Wipro Cares is an employee-led community initiative arm of the Wipro Foundation and engages in Education, Primary Healthcare, Community Ecology, and Disaster Response in proximate communities.

We are looking for someone passionate about promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and social responsibility among Wipro’s employees. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and managing employee volunteering initiatives in Wipro’s locations across India

Location: Bengaluru

Key responsibilities

Program development

• Lead the development of the Employee Volunteering Program strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and social responsibility objectives.
• Research industry best practices and innovative trends to continually enhance the volunteering program’s effectiveness.

Volunteer engagement

• Foster a culture of volunteerism within the organization.
• Plan and coordinate a variety of volunteering activities, ranging from one-time events to long-term partnerships with non-profit partners.
• Implement, manage and execute employee volunteering initiatives across the Wipro Locations.
• Build and strengthen location chapter teams to create and execute volunteering activities.

Metrics and reporting

• Create a monitoring dashboard to track volunteering activities across the locations.
• Regularly analyze, and report on volunteering metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
• Establish the success and impact of the Employee Volunteering Program.
• Manage the budget allocated for volunteering activities, ensure cost-effective use of resources, and process payments to partnersvendors on time.

Content development:

• Develop content materials to educate employees about the value of volunteering and how they can contribute their time toward society.
• Provide guidance to help employees identify volunteering opportunities that match their skills and interests.
• Support in development of Volunteering Standard Operating Procedures (VSOPs), monthly mailers, volunteering impact stories, and related documents.
