Waste Warriors is a decade-old non-profit organization working to address the waste management crisis of the Indian Himalayan Region. We act as a catalyst to improve the waste management infrastructure, and implement policies, and behavior change campaigns while empowering the Safayi Sathis involved in the value chain. We also enable communities to adopt lifestyles that help keep the foothills of the Himalayas waste free, through a combination of direct action, public awareness-raising, community engagement initiatives, and long-term partnerships with government bodies with a team of 120+ full-time employees.

Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of planning, initiating, executing, monitoring and reporting on the project requirements. The individual will also be responsible for engaging and liasoning with various stakeholders including but not limited to the Program Sponsors/ Donors, Government officials & Community members. People recruitment, management and development is an integral part of this role. Should be able to multitask and be willing to lead by example through guiding and leading a team in Community Engagement activities, Outreach and Advocacy, Operations of Waste Management processes on the ground.
The Project Manager will need to be involved in strategic planning and building means for gap funding from Donor, other sources to ensure the program is sustained and meets the organization’s goals of helping embed sustainable SWM solutions in rural/urban communities in the hilly and/or mountainous regions of Uttarakhand/Himachal Pradesh.
