Established in the year 2011, VOICE 4 Girls is a social enterprise that works with marginalized adolescent girls in India to re-imagine their identities, capabilities, and futures. Through activity-based camps, the mission of the organization is carried out through residential and day camps where adolescents are introduced to critical knowledge, life skills, and Spoken English. VOICE adapts the unique model of hiring and training young college students as interns who will facilitate the sessions as Counsellors and Field Coordinators. We have reached over 1,07,000 campers and worked with 3,500 students from more than 50 colleges in India.

VOICE 4 Girls Summer Camp 2022!
A big thank you for considering VOICE SUMMER Internship! We’re on a mission to create thousands of girl champions around India, advocating for themselves, re-imagining their identities, capabilities and their futures. We conduct activity-based camps where girls acquire critical knowledge, spoken English and life skills while they grow in confidence and self-efficacy.
This SUMMER VOICE 4 Girls is conducting residential camps across Telangana in government residential schools. We are looking for energetic college students who can facilitate VOICE sessions in a physical classroom. The details of the internship are attached below.
As a Counselor, you have to follow the initial protocol of signing your contract, paying the Sponsor a Camper amount of Rs.800 and getting a co candidate to work with us through your reference. This amount will be returned only after successful completion of the program. In any such eventuality where the intern is unable to complete the program, this amount is non-refundable.
2. As a Counselor, you will work closely with the FC and VOICE staff to accomplish the overall mission of the program by attending to safety, well being & enjoyment of program participants.
3. Maintain camp schedule.
4. Complete room inspections at the beginning and end of each class.
5. You should serve as a positive role model and source of support for all campers.
6. Be aware of student concerns and incidents and immediately report critical information to the Field Coordinator.
7. Respond to student emergency situations. Follow emergency protocol outlined in training.
8. Submit all your post camp deliverables within a week after the completion of camp.
9. Maintain discipline on campus and abide to the instructions given by your VOICE staff/FC.
Details of Internship :
- The college students will be VOICE Interns and will be working with us in the capacity of a camp counsellor or field coordinator.
- Camps will be held from May 2022 through July 2022.
- Selected intern will be trained for a period of 5 days in Hyderabad. Post which, the intern will be assigned to one of the residential schools of Telangana.
- The intern is expected to stay in the assigned residential school along with the other interns and camp staff to facilitate the sessions. The duration of the same will be 12 days.
- On the successful completion of the internship i.e. training and physical camps the intern will receive a stipend of Rs. 5,500/- for the position of camp counsellor along with a certificate of internship.
- Intern should be flexible to take public transport along with the other interns to reach the assigned location.
- Intern should be flexible to stay in the assigned camp location with basic facilities.
- Language Requirement : English and Telugu.
- Apart from these 17 days(5 days training and 12 days camp), interns are required to attend one day of debrief session in Hyderabad to share their camps experience and also collect their certificate of internship.
