Website VidhyaVidhai Vidhya Vidhai Foundation

Vidhya Vidhai Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to ensuring child-centric schools in India through school leadership. We believe education is for children, and therefore should be centred around children. To ensure this, we partner with public school education systems to strengthen the K-12 schools. We enable education leaders at different tiers including Bureaucrats, State Actors, and School Heads to drive school improvement projects at their levels.

Vidhya Vidhai believes education is for children, and therefore should be centred around children. In a child-centred learning environment, children are given choices of how and what they learn, based on the theory that children thrive when they can see a direct connection between the instructional material on the one hand and their own interests and real-world experiences on the other. In such a setting, the classroom becomes a collaborative environment, with the child as an active, rather than passive, participant.

Vidhya Vidhai also believes that only a key decision maker in the school system can ensure this environment for a child and that is the School Leader who can be called as Head Master/Head Mistress or Principal in different names.

These beliefs have shaped Vidhya Vidhai’s vision:

Our vision is to ensure child-centric schools for every child in India by 2050

Our mission is to
1. Build capacity within the state system to enhance School Leadership Development
2. Enable school leaders and teachers to create safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
3. Promote collective efforts to foster every child’s fullest potential
