Vedanta’s Aluminium Business is one of the world’s top and India’s largest producer of aluminium at 2.3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The company is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality aluminium products. Vedanta’s Bauxite and Coal mines vertical will play a crucial role in this endeavour, being strategically poised to be the largest value creators for the aluminium business.

To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Deputy/ Head CSR at Mining Business for Kuraloi (N), Radhikapur (W) Coal blocks and Sijimali Bauxite Block based out at Belpahar, Angul & Bhawanipatna respectively. This role will be crucial for commencing new mines to achieve the vision.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and execute CSR strategies for Mines in line with organization vision, group initiatives and SIA report to provide incremental benefits to the society in terms of sustainable social and economic development.
• Ensure active participation of women in Self Help Group (SHG)/ Empowerment initiatives and support children’s education, skill development and health improvement programs.
• Budgeting for annual CSR strategic outreach programs including ESG. Foster strong media relations in the relevant districts and nurturing meaningful stakeholder relations that augment the business.
• Responsible for amplifying impactful CSR and Mining stories to stakeholders at large through frequent media and brand awareness initiatives in the target regions.
• Develop rapport with the community members to ensure peace and harmony among all.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Preferably Masters in Social Work/ Sociology with 12+ years of experience in the field of community development, SHG projects, Education, Skill development, Agriculture, Health.
