Utkarsh Welfare Foundation (UWF), was incorporated in August 2010 and is registered under section 25 of Companies’ Act 1956 and aims to provide various services and products for the development and assistance to the underprivileged population in rural & urban sectors by way of market linkage opportunities, education, health and vocational training program. UWF aims at empowering grass root population especially women, making them self – reliant and transforming them into successful entrepreneurs. UWF aims to make a meaningful and sustainable impact in the lives of the community through a multi – pronged service oriented market led approach. UWF has initiatives that focuses on education, health, skill development, micro enterprise training & environment conservation.

1. Program Coordinator/Manager

Location Zone ( Patna and Varanasi)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and Monitor all programs and project of the zone such has Health initiatives, Financial Literacy,
  • Skill Development, Education Initiative and Village development.
  • Oversee all CSR, Developmental and other such programmes, operations and activities in the assigned Zone (~3 States or more)
  • Facilitate the Program Support team, ensuring to achievement of the stated objective within timelines.
  • Undertake field visits and ensure smooth coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep management updated on a periodic basis on the status of the actives programs
  • Liaise with existing and prospective Partner Agencies / Grant Forums & related Stakeholders for identifying funding prospects
  • Liaise with media team for proper visibility of the program activities and for promotion of the cause.
  • Developing and submission of quality reports on timely basis to respective partners.
  • Monitor and control administrative expenses within the approved budget for the respective zone.
  • Communicate regulatory changes and relevant compliance updates to the Management Team.
  • Adherence to organizational guidelines, applicable Acts, Rules, Agreements for effective program implementation
  • Preparing timely proposals, budgets, concept notes, project completion reports, etc., as required accordingly.
  • Ensure safe upkeep of documents in hard copy and digitized form.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination and Team Management:
  • Team Building and need based management support to enhance skill & productivity

Eligibility

16.  Minimum education qualification- Post-Graduate in Social Work, Rural Management or similar qualification

17.  Three – Five years of experience in Rural Development Sector

Skills Required

18.  Good communication skills, written and verbal, including external relations

19.  Demonstrated experience of working on multiple types of projects in the past within the organisation within multiple roles.

20.  Planning, management and Execution with organizational skills

21.  Demonstrated problem solving skills

2.PROGRAM COORDINATOR- Artisan Promotion

Location  Varanasi, Head Office

Role & Responsibilities

  • Organise the Weavers committee and strengthen the Artisan Producer Company (APC)through Capacity Building, handholding, and mentoring in a way that the producer company becomes a successful and sustainable organization.
  • Oversee the implementation of projects related to weavers’ promotion and help the APC in marketing and sales of their product through various channels like Shilp mela, online marketing, and liaisoning with other stakeholders which would help in the promotion of sales and increase in profit of the members of the APC.
  • Help and guide APC in filing and maintaining compliances related to the functioning of a producer company.
  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with the promoting agency to promote the weavers association based in Varanasi and facilitate the Program Support team, ensuring the achievement of the stated objective within timelines and keeping management updated periodically about the status and achievements of the initiative
