The position is based at Rajpipla (Narmada District, Gujarat) with regular field visit in surrounding villages and district head quarter. The incumbent will be mainly responsible for developing, budgeting, implementing, monitoring and reporting of UPL’s Narmada development initiatives. The position demands coordination and linkages with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Reports to: Head CSR (UPL Group)

Major Responsibilities

• Project management role in the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the sustainable livelihood development strategy and achievement of the sustainable livelihood development deliverables at Narmada Cluster.

• Develop, coordinate, and manage overall work plan and schedule of activities for Narmada cluster.

• To engage with different stakeholders and develop a strategy for managing multi-stakeholder partnerships in livelihood development project.

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key government departments, NGOs and community stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain strong systems to facilitate smooth and effective communication between project stakeholders and oversee the development of strong systems for documentation and external communication.

• Support Farmer Producer Company (FPC) promoted by project/partnered NGOs for revenue generation activities.

• Provide technical assistance for demonstration of farm and non-farm livelihood activities, water management and micro-irrigation practices.

• Lead and coordinate design efforts for workshops / training pertaining to project.

• Document all the project activities, case stories, successes on a regular interval.

• Facilitate the effective assessment and evaluation of the sustainable livelihood program.

• Scheduled report on project progress, milestones, budget, and expenditures.

Desired Candidate

Profile

1. Candidate must be a Postgraduate in Rural Management/ Rural Development, Master’s in Social Work (MSW) / Agriculture/ Sociology/ Environmental Science/ Rural Studies/ Business Management (MBA)/ Agri-Business Management (ABM) / Engineering (M-Tech) or relevant field.

2. Around 12-15 years of professional working experiences in CSR Space / Development sectors.

3. Working experiences on Sustainable livelihood especially with FPO’s & SHG’s will be preferred.

4. Familiar with functioning of CSR / NGO sector and having strong coordination, networking and advocacy skill would be an added advantage.

CTC

• 12 to 15 Lacs per annum (inclusive of 15% annual variable pay)

• Ability to influence and communication proficiency.

• Ability to work under pressure and cope with varied workloads.

• Good knowledge and experience of national level development need.

• Familiar with functioning of CSR / NGO sector and having strong coordination, networking and advocacy skill.

• Project ownership and traveling to multiple locations.

• Excellent communication skill in English, Hindi & Gujarati.

• Competency in computers
