Role Summary
The successful candidate will support the development of the UKIBC’s brand and revenue growth, working across our policy advocacy, events, and commercial/business development objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include:

Commercial and Business Development

  • Work with the commercial team and external support to design digital campaigns targeting key strength sectors for UKIBC
  • Utilise existing content, case studies and successes to highlight to our network the strengths of UKIBC and proactively look for follow up opportunities
  • Actively create discussions on key topics to engage our followers
  • Support in the creation of targeted bespoke adverts showcasing UKIBC`s advisory strengths for potential clients
  • Regularly review analytics from website, social media and newsletter to gain insights and improve visibility of potential customers

Policy Advocacy and Events

The responsibilities would include:

  • Showcasing our members’ and clients’ expertise and knowledge, by creating videos and other digestible content to be shared on social media and other digital channels, eg, the UKIBC website and newsletter.
  • Helping to grow our following and strengthen our engagement on social media with targeted stakeholders.
  • Drafting posts for UKIBC social media accounts (Twitter and LinkedIn) ensuring content fits
  • the UKIBC’s advocacy and brand positioning priorities.
    • Working with colleagues on communications campaigns linked to advocacy objectives.
    • Producing and curating content for our monthly newsletter.
    • Promoting UKIBC events in a compelling way that ensures strong attendance from our target
    audience
    • Proofreading and contributing to articles, blogs, event summaries, etc.
    • Working with an external agency and colleagues, management of content on the UKIBC website, which is being re-developed in 2023.

Work Experience & Exposure

  • Minimum experience of 1 year in marketing/communications role is essential
  • Advanced experience with SEO, LinkedIn ads, Twitter pro, Google ads, etc. is also desirable

Skills

Core skills would include the following:

  • Highly proficient on social media (Twitter and LinkedIn mainly)
  • Ability to plan & adapt, organise, co-ordinate, multitask, with minimal supervision
  • Analytical, goal oriented and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience with relevant programmes such as Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp is desirable

Education

  • Bachelor degree in related field (international relations, politics, communications, marketing
    media, etc.) is desirable but not essential
