The/Nudge is working to help scale the graduation approach targeting the poorest of the poor through community institutions. In this effort, a project management unit is being set up to draft a national strategy and design as well as to support the implementation of an action research project. The project management unit will report to the Head of Program, Centre for Rural Development.

At The/Nudge you will:

• develop a national strategy and design to target the ultra-poor through the ‘graduation approach’ built on top of community institutions
• develop a program design for implementation of action research in state(s) and help secure the approvals to implement
• enable the convergence of various state initiatives (social security, livelihood promotion, financial inclusion, social empowerment) and programs towards the end goal of graduating women and their households living in ultra-poverty, out of it

3. Manager/Senior Manager, Transforming Agriculture for Small Farmers

66% of our population and 85% of our poor are in rural India. One of the most vulnerable sections of the rural population is the small and marginal farmers, which constitutes 70 million households in India.

These farmers face challenges of fragmented landholdings, low monthly household income (typically less than Rs. 6000 per month), lack of access to quality inputs (30% probability of seeds/pesticides being spurious/adulterated), and lack of access to credit. Farmers also gamble with the monsoon, which if delayed leads to low yields and low income, and if on-time leads to high yields, price drops, and low income.

The Transforming Agriculture for Small Farmers team intends to double farmers’ income sustainably and at scale and we are looking for team members in our Centre for Rural Development who are passionate about solving the challenges faced by small and marginal farmers in India.

At The/Nudge you will:

• understand small and marginal farmers’ value chain and conceptualize or refine products/services and processes to increase farmers’ income

Centre for Social Innovation (CSI)

Saamuhika Shakti is a collective impact initiative in Bengaluru, supported by the H&M Foundation (H&MF). • collaborate with the centers and programs to create, validate or refine their impact strategy and Theory of Change
• drive the design of a common impact assessment framework to accommodate multiple programs
• define the monitoring and evaluation framework for each program including metrics and what is driving/hindering data collection
• drive evaluation (including third party and multi-player evaluation). The focus will be a deep understanding of the outcomes to generate insights to help refine/enhance the work on the ground. The team will involve external stakeholders to make this most effective.
