The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organizations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

1. JOB PURPOSE

The Field Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in overseeing The Hans Foundation Programme and infrastructure. This role involves providing successful implementation of block level activities. The Field Coordinator will work closely with various departments to understand their documentation needs and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

2.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with consultant and experts to get their thematic knowledge and expertise in operationalizing the programme.
  • Develop an operational plan and workplan along with project manager for the smooth implementation and monitoring of the project.
  • Assist the team in organizing project-related events such as launch, expansion, and any other events/conferences, etc.
  • Support in organizing the capacity-building training of the project staff as per the need submitted by the project team.
  • Provide support to the Project Manager to effectively manage the work assignments with vendors/ service providers.
  • Need-based visits to ensure the deliverables from the vendor such as bus fabrications, assistive aids, and quality checks of the tools & equipments.
  • Explore potential experts/trainer/consultants for various training needs and maintain the partnerships( suppose expert on parents counseling, best therapies for CP, etc).
  • Participate and prepare for THF events such as meetings, retreats, and team building activities; planning the preparation and facilitation and then reporting on outcomes.
  • Ensures visibility of the projects by collecting information and resources for stories displayed on the THF website and other media mediums.
  • Provide knowledge inputs to the project team to organize community awareness programs by exploring good practices in the country and across the world.

3.  Other Indicative Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, preferable to have a Master’s Degree.
  • Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other Requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public health programme with good project coordination and implementation skills.
  • Good Communication and documentation in English and Hindi.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in remote areas
