The Antara Foundation’s mission is to help create a public health system that consistently delivers products and solutions with scale, appropriate speed, and quality, backed by supportive policy and funding. Treating scaled delivery as the missing technology is The Antara Foundation’s ’big bold idea’ wherein state programs become a benchmark for improving health outcomes that can be amplified nationwide. The Antara Foundation’s current programs focus on Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition. The rationale to address maternal and child health goes beyond improving and saving lives. Better health outcomes for a country have a broader economic impact by contributing to poverty alleviation and economic growth.

The Antara Foundation was founded by Ashok Alexander based on his experience leading the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in India where he spearhead a program (Avahan) that would stem the growing HIV epidemic in India. Experiences over a decade with the Gates Foundation helped him appreciate the complexity of public health delivery in India and drivers of scale. These crucial insights helped shape the idea of The Antara Foundation.

The Antara Foundation in partnership with Government of MP is working towards enhancing the public health system to consistently deliver products and solutions with scale, appropriate speed and quality, backed by supportive policy and funding.

We are looking for Program Officers in multiple districts of MP with the below pre-requisite skills,

1. A recognized undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline. Master’s in Social  Works (MSW)/Business Administration (MBA)/Rural Management is preferable

2. At least 2- 3 years work experience in rural development or community mobilization. Experience in Maternal & Child Health and/or nutrition would be preferable.

3. Experience working with the community will be given preference

4. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data

5. Ability to present information in a structured and insightful manner

6. Excellent skills in oral and written communications

7. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment

8. Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment,  with demonstrated leadership, communication, networking and presentation capabilities
