Immediate job opening for the position of a Senior Fellow in the Environment & Waste Management division of TERI, New Delhi.

About the Job
Senior Fellow of Environment& Waste Management will determine the vision and strategy for the management of waste, energy and sustainability in TERI.
The incumbent will lead the Environment & Waste Management Division, performance management, and deliver outcomes in the services to agreed performance levels as defined by TERI under the supervision of the Senior Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the vision and strategy for waste management, including through collaboration with partners, and represent and promote the waste strategy.
  • Provides inputs towards the development of Strategies, policies, and oversight of the program with respect to environmental protection in the following areas of Waste reduction, and waste management, including hazardous wastes.
  • Research new business opportunities and Fundraising related to environment/waste.
  • Review, edit and comment on project deliverables and ensure submission of quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other directors at TERI to facilitate linkages across the institute’s core practices.
  • Oversee the development and dissemination of success stories and best practices from TERI’s
  • Participate in the preparation of technical proposals for environment/ Waste projects, including leading or contributing to the development of technical design, teaming arrangements, etc

Qualifications:

  • Minimum master’s degree in environmental management, sustainable development, waste management
  • At least 15-20 years of progressively responsible work experience in designing, managing, and implementing environmental programs.
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
  • Working with the Govt or working within govt will be desirable.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Experience managing teams of environment professionals to respond to complex
    assignments, reviewing and commenting on project deliverables, and managing short- andlong-term projects.
