Inviting applications for a Research Fellow

Project Title: Waste Warriors Society/Developing a framework to account externalised costs of sachet waste handling to build the knowledge repository in the fight against Climate Change

Job/Assignment Description:

The assignment’s value proposition will be involved in:
(i) Identifying, understanding, and calculating externalized costs of post-consumer plastic sachet waste.
(ii) Working on a draft toolkit to account for externalized costs of plastic sachets
(iii) Increased awareness amongst business, political and academic audiences on the health, economic and environmental impacts associated with the handling of plastic sachet waste.

The Research Associate shall assist the team, specifically in:

• Achieving the value proposition as mentioned above.
• Analysis and writing of the draft and final report for the project and providing inputs for preparing presentations on the assignment.
• Undertaking any other related activities for the above-mentioned assignment.

Duration of the Position: The part-time engagement for the Research Assistants shall be between October 2023 to May 2024

Monthly Stipend: 45,000-58,000(Consolidated) based on the qualification and experience.

Essential Qualifications: Educational Qualification, Desired Experience etc.:

• Preference for Ph.D. (Preferably in the area of environmental economics/ environmental science or in the areas related to plastic waste management)
• Experience of stakeholder survey and analysis
• Analyzing qualitative/quantitative data in R, STATA, Python
• Good written and oral communication skills (Preferably having published in reputed Journals)
• Candidates with expertise in Life Cycle Assessment tools or Health economics-related tools would be preferred.
