TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS), New Delhi, a Deemed to be University, accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC is committed to produce and disseminate Knowledge for Sustainable Development. It offers 14 masters programmes and an interdisciplinary PhD programme in various thematic areas in its campus in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. These programmes cover disciplines like Law, Economics, Geoinformatics, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Sustainable Development Practice, Climate Science and Policy, Renewable Energy Management, Business Sustainability, Infrastructure, Urban Management, Plant Biotechnology, Water Resources Engineering and Water Science. Its faculty members are actively engaged in research, development and dialogue with partner organizations and educational institutes, the government, alumni and the society at large.

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor.

Area/Position Descriptions: Candidates with a Ph.D. in Mathematics/Computer Science with expertise in algorithms, security, and blockchain

Number of Post: 1 (One) Regular

Eligibility Criteria: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with an excellent academic and research record. The candidates’ Ph.D. should be in mathematics, algorithms, optimization, network, security and web programming, block chain, and information technology. A minimum of 10 publications in SCI indexed quartile (Q1 and Q2) journal.

Desirable Qualification: Post-doctoral experience is desirable. Candidate’s with research in frontier domains of data sciences. Ability to attract national and international research funding.

• Work with colleagues to deliver an exceptional learning environment for students.
• Teach and inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students and to conduct assessments.
• Provide academic support and advice to undergraduate and postgraduate students on relevant modules.
• Promote the use of a range of effective methods and techniques in teaching, learning and assessment.

Pay Scale: Under the prescribed U.G.C. Pay-scale with admissible allowances.
