Tech Mahindra Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Tech Mahindra Limited, a Mahindra Group Company. The Foundation set up in 2007, as a Section 25 Company (referred to as a Section 8 Company in the Companies Act, 2013), has been working tirelessly in the areas of Education, Employability and Disability with a keen focus on corporate volunteering. It operates across eleven locations in India.
The Foundation has been running SMART Academies (since May 2016) with the intent of offering more advanced and longer-term courses in some specialized vocations. At present, the Foundation runs eight Tech Mahindra SMART Academies, including Four SMART Academies for Healthcare, three SMART Academies for Digital Technologies and one SMART Academy for Logistics.
The goal of setting up these Academies was twofold — create, build and nurture youth to develop skills in specific industries including healthcare, digital technologies and logistics along with uplifting the country’s youth and transforming them into world-class professionals. The Academies offer both diploma and certificate (by qualified professionals) courses.

TECH MAHINDRA SMART ACADEMY FOR LOGISTICS JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Logistics

Experience 3-7 years of relevant industry experience in logistics/ shipping operations, port operation, and import/export operations experience
Qualification Postgraduate preferably
Roles and Responsibilities
● Should have experience in planning warehouses and distribution centres for efficiency in operations, capacity and transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
● Should have good knowledge of hazardous waste storage areas, hazardous waste documentation, equipment, and procedures.
● Should have understanding and follow up of proper spills and emergency clean-up procedures.
● Should have a good understanding of hazardous waste shipments, including proper labelling of all hazardous waste.
● Should have a good understanding of shipping and receiving documentation in both international and domestic operations.
● Should have a good understanding of “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time” with actions and words at the level of Logistics/Shipping operations (Like OSHA).
Required Skill Set
● Working knowledge on 3PL & 4PL.
● Data analysis and data visualization abilities.
● Experience in processing shipments.
● Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
● Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable.
● Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
● Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
● Data analysis and data visualization abilities.
● Expert in Shipping related trade to teach students with the required skill.
● Ability to use computer, software and other technology for preparation of the Pivot Table and other shipping related documentation/report procedure.
● Proven record of processing shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labelling requirements.
● Understanding of the supply chain including common obstacles and effective solutions.
● Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment.
● Expert in inventory management.
Desired Skill Set
● Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable.
● Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
● Proven record processing shipments in accordance with DGFT/ DOT regulations and hazardous material labelling requirements
● Good knowledge of port operation documentations, equipment, procedures and Incoterms.
● Understanding and following proper spills and emergency clean-up procedures and other activities like stuffing, de-stuffing of container and cargo documents related to it like CFS activity.
● Good understanding of hazardous waste shipments, including proper labelling of all hazardous waste.
● Good understanding of shipping and receiving documentation of both international and domestic operations such as EGM, IGM, filling procedure & customs law required for the trade.
● Knowledge of international trade routes and lines to teach students.
