Tech Mahindra Foundation is the Corporate social responsibility arm of Tech Mahindra Limited, a  Mahindra Group Company. The Foundation set up in 2007, as a Section 25 Company (referred to as a  Section 8 Company in the Companies Act, 2013), has been working tirelessly in the areas of education,  disability and employability with a keen focus on corporate volunteering. It operates across eleven  locations in India.

The Foundation works with 100+ NGOs partners across India in ten states and eleven cities of  Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Delhi/NCR, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Vizag, Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur

The Foundation has been running SMART Academies (since May 2016) with the intent of offering more  advanced and longer-term courses in some specialized vocations. At present, the Foundation runs eight Tech Mahindra SMART Academies, including four SMART Academies for Healthcare, three  SMART Academies for Digital Technologies and one SMART Academy for Logistics.

The goal of setting up these Academies was twofold — create, build and nurture youth to develop  skills in specific industries including healthcare, digital technologies and logistics along with uplifting  country’s youth and transforming them into world-class professionals. The Academies offer both  diploma and certificate (by the qualified professionals) courses.Work with one of India’s top CSR Foundation. EMPLOYABILITY (SKILL DEVELOPMENT)

1. Associate Faculty- OT (Operation Theatre Technician)

Project: Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare

Experience:3 years of work experience in Operation Theatre and as a trainer providing training in classroom clinical setting.

Location: Mohali

Qualification: B.Sc. nursing / GNM / Diploma in OT technician/OT assistant with three years of experience working in operation theatre.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Plan the classroom teaching program, including orientation program in consultation with the HOD-Academics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans/curriculum for English / Communication Training for the students.

Experience: 3+ years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations / 3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experience.

Qualification: Must be Post Graduate

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Shall have experience in Planning warehouses and distribution centres for efficiency in both operations and capacity and transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary and able to transfer same skill to undergraduate and post graduate students in the age group of 20-30 years.

Qualification: Graduation in Psychology/Special Education/ B.Ed. Degree/B.El.Ed-Special Education/Diploma in Special Education

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Training

• Conduct high-quality trainings and courses for teachers in Special Education (Visual impairment, hearing impairment, learning disability) with progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies
• Prepare a plan for the training program in Special Education, and provide inputs for the preparation of the training calendar of ITEI.
• Coordinate with other subject teams for planning and executing the training programs.
• Analyse the feedback on the training programs received from the teachers and other training participants and incorporate it in subsequent trainings.
• Provide direction to the special in-service teacher education program.

2. Content Development

• Develop detailed training modules and regularly update content, resource material, etc.
• Develop modules for short term courses as well as for intensive courses.

3. Research and Development

• Develop research based specialized content and instructions to achieve the workshop goals and objectives. Explore the latest methodologies, resources, and approaches in the field of education and the expertise area to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the training modules and other resources.
• Conceptualize, design and conduct research/s on regular basis.
• Conceptualize and produce academic writings in the subject domain.

4. School Visit and Direct Intervention in School

• Regularly observe classroom sessions at various schools to understand the impact of the training programs and assess training requirements.
• Plan and provide on-site support to selected teachers in schools in the respective subject.
• Track a set of teachers for change in their teaching practices.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Document and report the progress on the allocated tasks.
• Prepare and submit training reports, classroom observation reports, events, and other reports.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Training
