Position Summary
The Finance Associate will be expected to perform routine accounting functions like checking of invoices and clearing them as per the relevant policies, recording accounting entries in Financial System i.e. NetSuite, managing payments to vendors and carrying out ancillary functions like bank reconciliation, tax payments, answering queries by Staff/Fellow/Donor and external partner, etc.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- To carry out day to day accounting work like expenses and Income booking, vendor payments, vendor management, bank reconciliation etc.
- To provide for petty cash for each location based on budget and account for it
- To update and maintain financial MIS for the organization
- To manage cash flows for the entity
- To maintain and record entries in the books of accounts regularly
- To process and disburse reimbursements on time
- To manage all bank transactions with respect to deposits and withdrawals with supporting approvals and to prepare Bank reconciliations
- To comply with statutory and tax regulations and make timely tax and other payments and track status of compliances on a monthly basis
- To handle finance-related queries raised by internal and external customers
- Preparation of Management Reports for review of Financial Performance
- To oversee the work of Assistants and train them in their routine functions
- Project-related – Budget preparation and assisting program team for the same
- Preparation of utilization certificates as per Donor requirements
- Reporting project / department financials status regularly with the team
Additional Responsibilities
- To finalize books of accounts and handle audits related concerns
- To close accounts on monthly/quarterly basis with support of team members
- To provide support to all departments
- To perform any other ancillary task as directed by the Senior Manager/CFO
Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations
- CA Inter/Graduate in Commerce with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Good Knowledge of Accounting Concepts and Applied Accounting
- Knowledge for handling statutory compliances in relation to Income Tax, PF, PT, Companies Act (CSR Rules),
- Working Knowledge of ERP
- Advance working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and can adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations
- Prior experience of working on an ERP (NetSuite) in another NGO
- Knowledge of FCRA and Maharashtra Trust Act

Position Summary
Reporting to: Director, Human Resources
Managing: A talent acquisition team of 2-3 Managers and 2 Associates
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity by attracting leaders across sectors to join Teach For India. They will be responsible for sourcing, fuelling, engaging and selecting Teach For India’s talent pipeline as well as overseeing the volunteer and intern programs at Teach For India. This role will be responsible for goals across three big buckets:
As a Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition
- Create the Talent Strategy and Operational Plan and identify crucial hiring metrics (turnaround time, applicant experience, diversity and quality of hire etc.)
- Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders by:
(a) building and maintaining relationships with Fellows, Staff, Fellow Alumni, interns, volunteers, universities
(b) working alongside the Communications vertical on regional branding strategies and
(c) working with the Technology Director to build the necessary platforms and tools required to support the application process
- Build a strong talent pipeline (with direct ownership over senior roles)
- Project manage the entire talent acquisition process by:
(a) driving efficiency improvements in existing systems and processes
(b) managing the talent calendar and budget
(c) designing effective job profiles
(d) identifying and executing appropriate talent strategies and
(e) executing a thoughtful Matriculation and onboarding plan
- Design and implement an engagement program that successfully recruits a number of Teach for India’s Staff Alumni back to the organization

The Manager, Human Resources (Compensation and Analytics) will be responsible for executing and constantly increasing the effectiveness of a compensation system that attracts and retains the best talent; puts systems in place to measure the progress and outcomes of our people and consistently benchmarks us with the alternative. The Manager, Human Resources (Compensation and Analytics), will be responsible for goals across three big buckets:
As a Manager, Human Resources (Compensation and Analytics)
- Designing and rolling out our compensation procedures and philosophy after executing a comprehensive compensation benchmarking exercise
- Managing the people payroll budget by driving the adoption of clear guidelines, resolving discrepancies, updating payroll information and directing the collection, calculation and entering of data
- Ensuring organisational compliance on legal and statutory requirements by studying existing and new; legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising the Human Resources team and the Senior Leadership Team on requisite actions
- Advising team leaders and the Human Resource team on different employment structures, based on organisational and legal requirements
- Analysing qualitative and quantitative data linked to hiring, performance, employee engagement, organisational surveys, exits, and lateral movements and reporting back effectively using quarterly reporting structures;
- Tracking and monitoring the progress of the Human Resources team against previously established metrics each quarter and reporting key performance trends to the Director, Human Resources and Impact team

- Previous experience in managing payroll and compensation benchmarking (preferred not mandatory)
