Taru has been working in development communication and behavior change programmes on range of aspects including scoping and strategy building, campaign development, communication management, etc. With this spirit, Taru has set up Behavior Science & Communication Lab (BSCL) to strengthen its initiatives with greater focus and reach. Taru now embarks on a new journey expanding its reach, capacity and business while retaining its core agenda of providing transformative solutions to development challenges. Taru is therefore considering engaging a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-oriented Senior Consultant- Behavior Change & Strategic Communication to provide necessary support to its operations. H/she is expected to play a key role through supporting Taru initiatives in BSCL’s especially in growth, project design and execution; team management, monitoring of activities, etc.

1.Senior Consultant- Behavior Change & Strategic Communication

Tasks

The specific tasks to be undertaken are:

  • Support BSCL with technical inputs, planning, project management support, reports preparation, and monitoring of activities and milestones.
  • Support in business development activities in terms of concept/proposal development
  • Coordinate, plan and implement organization’s corporate strategic communication both internally and externally
  • Work closely to design and implement programmes that create social impact
  • Support in partnership building with Clients, Donors, NGOs, Technical Organization, Collectives, etc.
  • Lead in knowledge management through stories, blogs, articles in newspapers/journals, reports etc.
  • Develop innovative concept, position papers, and terms of references related to operation
  • Keep up to date with the work of all the project teams, as well as the organization as a whole, in order to provide timely information to senior Taru staff.
  • Aligning work style with established work culture and leadership team.
  • Any other related activities, as assigned.

Qualification

  • Postgraduate in Development Communication or Behavior Science from reputed institutes
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience especially with national, international, and corporate organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge and skills of Development Communication, Digital & Corporate Communication and Behavior Science including IEC/BCC
  • Knowledge of behavior design, messaging, tool/media, etc
  • Demonstrated research skills in SPSS/Data Science Tools
  • Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan, and execute ideas.
  • Proven capacity to develop work plans, budgets, funding proposals.
  • Proven skills in project management, quality assurance, setting standards, and monitoring.
  • High personal & professional integrity. Team player and ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines. Problem solving attitude. Experience of managing teams and logistics
  • Excellent analytical, and knowledge management skills including writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent fluency in English and regional languages would be added advantage. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders.

2. Senior Consultant- Social Impact

Roles and Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Lead in business development activities in terms of concept/proposal writing and client relationship
    management.
  • Effectively position the organization as the preferred partner of the clients and donors. Support in partnership building with Clients, Donors, Private Sector, Funders etc.
  • Develop innovative position papers, and terms of references related to operation.
  • Build the profile of organization in the sector.

Project Management

  • Design and implement services that create social impact within the practice areas.
  • Lead in project implementation with technical assistance, project reports, budgeting, and monitoring &
    evaluation including client management, team, and stakeholder management.
  • Conduct field visits to the project sites and provide technical assistance to improve program performances.
  • Work closely with other practices, sectors and regional units in operationalizing agreed plans and strategies.
  • Support them with logistics and technical inputs.
  • Hold self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modeling
    organizational values.
  • Keep up to date with the work of all the project teams, as well as the organization as a whole, in order to
    provide timely information to senior Taru staff.
  • Aligning work style with established work culture and leadership team.

Job Specification: Qualification & Experience

  • Postgraduate or Professional degree in Economics/Social Science/ Business/Development Policy or any other discipline relevant to this role from reputed institutes
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience as practitioner and consulting field especially with national, international, and corporate organizations. Person having multi-sectoral experience in the areas of interest as listed above will be preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the social and impact measurement sector with demonstrated leadership, team
    management, advisory skills. Technical skills on data science tools including SPSS, Python, Canva, etc.
  • Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan, and execute ideas. Capacity to develop work plans, budgets, funding proposals.
  • Proven skills in project management, quality assurance, setting standards, and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience in actively participating in debates and influencing policies.
  • High personal & professional integrity. Team player and ability to work under pressure and meeting
    deadlines. Problem solving attitude. Experience of managing teams and logistics
  • Excellent networking and partnership building skills.
  • Good analytical, knowledge management skills including writing, presentation skills and documentation.
  • Excellent fluency in English. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Support in project implementation in synchrony with organizational vision. Support in project report writing, and monitoring of activities and milestones.
  • Provide research and knowledge support to the operations, policies and plans through secondary and primary research including design of methodology and research tools/ instruments, data collection, validation, documentation, and analysis.
  • Support in developing and implementing programs / projects related to climate change, disaster management, urban, water and others.
  • Preparing technical proposals. Support team in outreach programs.
  • Conduct field visits to the project sites and identify strengths/weaknesses in project implementation and provide feedback and technical assistance to improve both individual and institutional performances for effective outcomes.
  • Provides technical assistance in area(s) of expertise.
  • Support in partnership building with Clients, Donors, NGOs, Technical Organization, etc.
  • Support in knowledge management through ideation and conceptualization of new ideas, writing blogs, articles, research papers/white papers on key issues and topics.
  • Grow Taru’s presence in the Sector(s) domain assigned to Partners through projects, leadership outputs, sector engagements, publications. Knowledge dissemination, communications, social media, and outreach etc.
  • Develop and showcase thought-leadership material and outcomes from research, analysis and synthesis of complex issues and contribute to Taru’s knowledge capture and dissemination.
  • Work closely with other practices, sectors and regional units in operationalizing agreed plans and strategies

Qualification

  • Postgraduate in Urban Planning / Urban Management.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in urban sector is preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrate ability to learning in climate and disaster management sector wouldbe preferred.
  • Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan, and execute ideas.
  • Proven skills in project management, quality assurance, setting standards, and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience in actively participating in debates and influencing policies.

The consultant is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s technology infrastructure.

Role & Responsibilities

Front-End Development:

  • Write clean, well-structured HTML and CSS code for web pages and user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement visual designs and user interfaces.
  • Ensure web pages and interfaces are responsive and function well across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes and mock-ups for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility.
  • Implement responsive design techniques, integration of APIs, and media queries.
  • Test and ensure cross-browser compatibility of web pages, making necessary adjustments to accommodate different browsers and versions.
  • Follow best practices for web accessibility (WCAG) and usability to create web content that is inclusive and user-friendly.

Software Management:

Data Backup and Security:

Job Specification: Qualification and Skill sets

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science and technology/computer applications
  • 3-4 years of experience in respective domain.
