The Role

Provide guidance and monitor the performance of the Consultant’s site-based and the Contractors ESHS officers.

Main Duties

• Review and approve the PA-ESMP of the contractor.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and social impact mitigation measures as specified in Project Area
• Environmental and Social Management Plans (PA ESMPs).
• Carry out a social assessment, including an assessment of the potential social impacts of large structures, intersection and road improvements.
• Assist in the compliance with various labour laws.
• Recommend social mitigating measures and assist with monitoring the implementation of the social mitigating measures.
• Prepare and submit ESHS checklist / monthly reports with respect to labour/social and get approval from Team Leader.

Experience

• He should have Masters degree Social Work/ Sociology/ Psychology.
• Minimum 8 years in social impact assessment, resettlement and rehabilitation, and preparation and monitoring of resettlement policy framework, entitlement matrix, resettlement action plan and social management plan for externally (such as WB / ADB/ KfW etc.) infrastructure projects.
