Assistant Manager STeP – Smile Foundation

Smile Foundation: Sustainability, social equality and the environment are now business problems. And corporate leaders can’t depend on governments to solve them. Inspired by this philosophy of Peter Senge, a group of young corporate professionals came together in 2002 to set up Smile Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and communities. Today, Smile Foundation is directly benefiting over 1.5 million children and families through more than 400 welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment spread across 2,000 villages and urban slums in 25 states, every year.

Role: The Assistant Manager will be responsible to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the STeP programme through implementing partners. The person should take initiatives to improve the programme and provide solutions to partners’ day to day challenges while implementing the programme. The person should effectively interact with the HO team and keep them updated on progress and challenges faced on daily basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and finalize new Implementing partners (Ngo’s) for the STeP programme
• Manage and coordinate with Implementing Partners (Ngo’s) assigned
• Coordinate and manage the donor meetings and visits as per the schedule
• Take initiatives for successful implementation of the programme and resolve day to day programme issues efficiently
• Coordinate with the Smile team at HO for reporting, MIS, Accounts etc.
• Visit and monitor the STeP Programme run by the Implementing Partners and provide timely feedback for improvements
• Ensure timely submission of progress reports to the donors and internal management
• Prepare and finalize quality success stories under each programme and send to HO on monthly basis
• Develop new formats and tools to monitor the programme better in coordination with HO team
• Ensure timely installments release to partners
• Have an understanding of the budget and ensure timely and expenditure as per the budget line items
• Work closely with MIS team and ensure timely submission and analysis of the data in Smile MIS and Donor MIS
• To understand and ensure successful implementation of online learning platforms
• To help placement team in achieving the committed number of placements/center
• Ability to multitask and juggle between various assigned tasks efficiently
• Support emergency response activities as when required
• Undertake additional responsibilities as and when assigned by the organization
