Position Overview:

The Officer, Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for sessions with parents and children, and curricula focusing on primary and pre-primary school students. The early childhood educator is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate programs that are aligned with national norms of the state. Ability to create prototype that can be scaled in different set ups across states.

Deep research attitude and data-driven instruction-making abilities with agility to work with constant changes.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of pedagogy and child development-related theories and practices, and an ability to combine theory and practice for on-ground execution. You are motivated by the desire to optimize the organization’s productivity by building and nurturing the foundations of ECE and bringing it to life through our programs.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum plans and instructional materials for the foundation level (pre-school to early primary) in alignment with educational standards and objectives.
  • Capacity building of teams, partner staff related stakeholders and other program aspects. Design technology initiatives and coordination with different stakeholders (tech agencies, designers, govt. officials,
  • Anganwadi, implementation partners) for the same Development of the Anganwadi Learning Lab concept – i.e., ideating and then demonstrating how the model will work, documentation and scale up of grassroots innovations.
  • Deep understanding of Policies around ECE around the globe
  • Develop an India-specific Early Childhood Development and Education-focused strategy, building towards systems change.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of the programme, design new initiatives and ensure quality of programme implementation.
  • Should have good understanding of evaluation and child assessments and can provide technical inputs.
  • Planning: Implementation plans, budgets, project management trackers etc. designed with inputs from partners and other Leads, aligned with ECE
  • Periodic review of project implementation and timely reporting of results.
  • Analyse student assessment data to track progress, identify trends, and make data-informed decisions to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of the foundation level program to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance program quality.
  • Strong project management skills with proven program implementation experience.
  • Prior hands-on experience in the Indian education sector and with government stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to design and drive data monitoring systems for large-scale projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s /PG degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in early childhood education
  • Strong knowledge of child development theories, early childhood curriculum frameworks, and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including teachers, parents, administrators, and community members.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with children.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
