The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. About IIPH-Bhubaneswar
Indian Institute of Public Health, Bhubaneswar (IIPH-B) commenced its academic activities from August, 2010 in the state of Odisha. A key objective of the Institute has been to implement the vision of Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) by linking public health advocacy, teaching, research and public health practice. Indian Institute of Public Health, Bhubaneshwar is one of the five campuses that come under the umbrella of PHFI. It is a regional hub of public health education and research for the eastern region of the country. IIPH-Bhubaneswar is closely working with Govt. of Odisha in providing technical inputs and handholding support to strengthen the public health delivery system and development of public health cadre in the state of Odisha. Faculties at IIPH Bhubaneswar are among the common pool of PHFI training division for providing trainers to facilitate various workshops and training programs.

About the Project:
CARISMMA Sustainable Food Systems Study is going to conduct in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Meghalaya. The study aims to characterize, revive, support, monitor and manage sustainable food systems to address malnutrition in indigenous tribal communities of India. The project is studying Gond in Madhya Pradesh, Khasi in Meghalaya and Dongria Khond in Odisha. Additionally, study will pilot a food systems intervention to explore the feasibility of implementing an intervention which will be emerged in discussion with the community and will aim at addressing nutritional wellbeing and food security. The study is being funded as TEAM Science Grant by DBT-Wellcome Trust India Alliance.

Master’s in Public health/ Social sciences/ PGDPHM OR any other qualification that suits the profile of the position
Desirable:
MPH with Nutrition Specialization
Experience
Essential:
0-2 years of relevant experience in public health field or development sector
Desirable:
Local Language (Odiya) proficiency is required, as major part of the deliverables involve liaising with Govt. of Odisha officials.
Experience or Skill sets in data analysis software
