Organization Overview:
Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL) and Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) works to transform the Educational System in India with an aim to create a generation of Education Leaders who are equipped with skills to create large-scale, systemic impact. KEF/PFEL is currently working across 12 states.
The State Transformation Program (STP) primarily focuses on improving the state’s way of functioning to improve the quality of elementary education of a state by building accountability by focusing on learning outcomes, improving organization behavior by establishing a culture of collaboration and re-engineering processes by introducing robust information system and revamping people selection and its development process.
The interventions under this program will result in: –

  • Strong leadership capabilities amongst state and district education officers
  • Alignment amongst key stakeholders
  • Accountable academic monitoring and outcome based review
  • Efficient processes to timely deliver child service.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Program execution and reporting:

  • Responsible for enhancing leadership capacities of the District-level and state level Govt officers through
    workshops, on-site support and other innovative tools.
  • To plan, design and facilitate capacity building workshops.
  • Do robust micro level planning and provide on-site support to District-level and state level Govt officers.
  • To execute change initiatives as planned with the state

2. Supporting cross functional teams & Program Manager:

  • Support the team to analyze and draw inferences from the data and develop work areas for the same.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all district project updates.
  • Support PM with designing & implementation of frameworks and tools.

3. Data Analysis:

  • Gather and maintain data & information relevant to the program, such as learning indicators, school quality, etc.
  • To monitor & maintain comprehensive database of the assigned area using data analysis tools.
  •  Manage & analyze data required for program implementation at district & state level.
  • Draw inferences from data & prepare reports to share it with the Program Manager.

Experience:

  •  2-6 years of experience in Development/Education/ Corporate Sector with experience of designing training programs.
  • Experience in Leadership Development, Change Management, workshop designing, facilitations will be preferred.

Education:

Post-graduate/Graduate in preferably Rural Management/ Social Work/ Development Studies/Education/ Social Sciences (Anyone
with relevant knowledge and experience is highly encouraged to apply irrespective of his/her educational background)

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Enthusiastic, dynamic approach to addressing issues of social change
  •  Experience in training; teaching; working with government; change management/leadership development
  •  Effective mentoring, coaching and motivational skills
  • Confident communicator, able to dialogue professionally and diplomatically on complex issues with professionals and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Skilled at building strong relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, flexibly and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think analytically and discern patterns in data to understand key insights.
  • Should be a Tech savvy – usage of Tablet is must.
  • Strong written, presentation and interpersonal ability
  • Strong commitment to ongoing personal development.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and adapt to fast pace of work

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience of working in ‘Operations’ in development sector, preferably with the Government School/Education Department system, Government departments like – DIET, SCERT
  •  Understanding of Education Sector.
  • Ability to convert strategic direction into objectives and plans.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Travel: up to 10-15 days per month travel to government Offices & work locations will be required.

Location: Work location can be any district of Himachal.

Joining date: Selected candidate is expected to join as early as possible and maximum in 2 weeks from date of receiving the offer letter

Job Duration: We would love to have people work for years with us but a minimum of 2-3 years has been observed as an ideal benchmark for growth.
