Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Project Overview: 
With Asian Development Bank (ADB) assisted Odisha Skills Development Project (OSDP), the MSOP component in 2 years aims to train 10,000 youth in self-employment and set up 1,000 micro-businesses across the state with 25% representation from individual women.

Role Overview:  
Project Consultant acts as a single point of contact (SPOC) assisting the key project leader i.e., Project Director (PD) and Team Leader (TL) in program delivery through the specified timelines. The position is expected to be a multi-tasker, quick learner in program management principles. As a key contact the specialist interfaces with internal, external stakeholders and the client and drives the relationship.

Responsibilities: 

  • Key project point of contact representing the PD and TL
  • Manage the timeline and deliverables of the project
  • Draft deliverables and reports from time to time and present to the client if required
  • Drive analyses to arrive at critical decisions and important recommendations for the program/client
  • Onsite coordination with all the departments for successful execution of ongoing project
  • Support in developing the overall strategy for the related ongoing project
  • Conduct research and prepare reports/ concept note on various subjects
  • Coordinating project management activities and monitoring project progress
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and plans
  • Convene regular meetings to discuss project progress, addressing project issues and escalating complex issues to appropriate levels
  • Create and manage periodic reporting of project execution status and other trackers
  •  Prepare progress reports and review presentations

Qualification and Experience Required:  

  • MBA/PG degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years’ experience in program management, government projects, skilling projects, entrepreneurship development, and relevant field
  • Experience in research, analytics, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting is added advantage
  • Experience in conducting research and preparing reports on various subjects related to urban development / smart cities / government projects
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders with emphasis on follow through and reporting
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills
