2. Consultant (Research)

Location: Lucknow

Job Profile
Pahle India Foundation is seeking applications from qualified economists with experience in international trade/trade research/state or national policies research on industry, trade, agri-exports, MSME. This is for a six-month contract position as a ‘Consultant (Research)’ based in Lucknow, with the possibility of extension up to one year.

Eligibility – Essential – PG in Economics/International Trade/ MBA with specialization in trade or international business/Public policy with minimum 2 plus years research experience. Candidates who have worked with the commerce ministry/state government departments of economics and statistics or similar other departments and having experience in data collection, statistical assessments, and having familiarity with trade data like UNCTAD, WITS, export-import data of India, ITC, WTO policies, services exports, export policies will be preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • The candidate should be willing to work in the area of manufacturing-led exports, ease of doing business and exports, MSMEs, e-commerce and services exports related research
  • Should be oriented for applied policy-oriented research
  • Should be adept at using statistical analysis and econometric techniques when required.
  • Should be able to think independently and have effective writing skills
  • Should be proficient in making presentations, writing proposals, report writing and highquality analytical work delivering high accuracy in all work products
  • Should be a team player, highly motivated, particular about observing deadlines and prepared for outcome-based performance evaluation
  • Should be able to supervise research assistant(s)/ associates (s) for any particular study
  • Should have a good publication record including analytical articles, research outputs, and project reports
  • Should be able to organise seminars, discussions or consultations

2. Associate Fellow/Senior Research Associate/ Research Associate

Job Profile
