Junior Researcher – Outline India

Outline India is a research and M&E firm focusing on data collection and geared towards evidence-based decision-making. We are committed to strengthening the design of programs and interventions by conducting needs assessments, formative research, and monitoring and evaluation studies. In the last 9 years, we have worked on over 150+ evaluations in 28 states and union territories, over 15,000+ villages, representing 5 million+ stakeholders across India and abroad. We have recently commenced operations in certain parts of South Asia.

Job Description
The Junior Researcher will assist Project Leads/ Managers in overall project implementation. Junior Researcher at Outline India perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

1. Conversant in English and Hindi preferably someone who knows any of the following languages-Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil

2. Assisting in the translation of tools and training materials from English to Hindi and vice-versa.

3. Assisting in designing proposals and research studies using different methods

4. Drafting tools ( Survey guides and Questionnaires) for studies and translating the same into Hindi and English.

5. Helping team members in evaluating data through transcriptions, field notes, and IDIs

6. Overseeing daily data collection and fieldwork and liaising with external parties if needed.

7. Assist in writing reports (and proofreading) and proposals.

Opportunity: 2-3 months contract initially with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications
1. Freshers are welcome.

2. Master’s degree from a reputed institute.

3. Strong written skills in English and Hindi.

4. Understanding of different methods to conduct data collection.

5. Strong time management skills- take responsibility for timely completion of projects and handling deliverables.

6. Receptive to working on projects in Hindi-speaking belts of India.

7. Candidates should be based in Delhi or Gurgaon.
