The Division for Early Childhood and Schools of the OECD Directorate for Education and Skills aims to enrich the international evidence base on schools and early childhood settings in order to develop targeted policy advice to countries for improving the quality, equity, and efficiency of learning opportunities. The Early Childhood and Schools Division of the OECD Directorate for Education and Skills is looking for full-time consultants to work on the OECD’s Schools+ initiative.

The new Schools+ network aims to connect inspiring schools and organisations from around the world, so that they can share and scale positive changes in education at the local, national and international levels. As a network of networks, Schools+ participants will share inspiring initiatives and foster synergies to tackle common challenges in achieving greater quality, equity and well-being in education.

This vacancy is an exciting opportunity to take on an interdisciplinary role that sits at the intersection of the work of schools, research and evidence in education, and policy-making. You will join a passionate and dynamic team in the OECD, where you will collaborate closely in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Main tasks
If you have a passion for education and innovation, this is the perfect role for you. You will play an active role in:

  • Identifying evidence-informed innovations in teaching and learning that have the potential to be impactful in a larger number of schools.
  • Collaborating with schools and researchers to explore the triggers and drivers of change behind innovations going to greater scale.
  • Transforming ideas and research into action by supporting the development of practical tools for a global school crowd-curation process.
  • Contributing to reports to share pertinent findings with policy-makers, researchers and schools.
  • Working with a range of stakeholders to build this new international network to empower schoollevel collaboration.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An excellent command of statistics and research methods, particularly in different methodologies in education evidence.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ideally, experience in classroom teaching and working with schools.
  • Self-driven with good organisational and self-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A postgraduate qualification in statistics, economics, social sciences research, public policy, or other relevant areas.

We are looking for a full-time consultant to join our team from the second quarter of 2023.
