Our goal is to empower students from marginalized backgrounds in India. To achieve scale we use technology with AI and NLP-powered WhatsApp chatbot to build co-curricular electives to nurture creativity, self-confidence, and problem-solving abilities.

Our flagship WhatsApp Chatbot, TAP Buddy, offers electives such as Visual and Performing Arts, Coding, STEM, and Financial Literacy.

Currently, TAP is impacting over 34,000 students across ten states in India. TAP students display a 2x improvement in creativity and a 74% improvement in self-confidence. In 2024-25, TAP aims to work with 100,000 students across multiple states through various government partnerships.

1. Development Manager

3+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in fundraising, partnerships, and network-building

Role Summary

Location – Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore/Remote

Time Commitment – Full-Time

Reporting to – Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Compensation – 5.90 – 8.80 LPA (inclusive of EPF & Medical Insurance)

Key Job Areas

Assist in growing and delivering TAP Development Strategy and Planning

  • Support the CEO to define long-term organizational strategic goals
  • Assist in creating pipeline strategy for TAP
  • Support the CEO to maintain and leverage the funder network
  • Research on new trends with a view to developing new approaches and campaigns

Business Development 

Events and Fundraising:

  • Identify collateral needs (e.g. publications, video, online communications, mailing materials) to support TAP fundraising activities.
  • Undertake Direct Marketing campaigns, crowdfunding campaigns including mail and online appeals.
  • Set up, coordinate, and organize fundraising events for TAP.

CSR: 

  • Identify opportunities and potential tie-ups that will bring in revenue, support, and funds for TAP.
  • Plan persuasive approaches, campaigns, and pitches that will convince potential donors.
  • Generating clear and compelling written communications for key external audiences, including the preparation of donor proposals, concept notes, reports, high-stakes emails, PowerPoint presentations, and other communications to inspire prospective donors to support TAP.

Individual Donors (HNI): 

  • Assist in developing the pipeline of new donors coming into the organization through cold calls, meetings, etc.
  • Research and identify prospective HNI donors and support the CEO to present TAP and its work to secure high-level donations.
  • Support the CEO to convert them into confirmed donors and strengthen relations with existing donors.

Donor Stewardship

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for long-term and high-potential donors (CSR, Foundations, and Individuals).
  • Deepen existing partnerships by curating bespoke engagement, donor delight, and branding opportunities. This role would require an advanced understanding of the organization to articulate the need and challenges authentically to donors to build partnerships, catalytic to scaling TAP programs and initiatives.
  • Develop a renewal strategy grounded in a deep understanding of the interests and priorities of existing funders as well as of the interests and priorities of TAP.
  • Assist the CEO to build key Donor relationships and provide support as required.
  • Work with the Communications Team to develop a strategic approach to the supporter experience.
  • Manage donor communications and engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any field
  • 3+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in fundraising, partnerships, and network-building
  • B2B Sales / Business Development experience preferred
  • Background in Investment Banking is an added advantage

Role Summary

Location – Moga(Punjab)

Time Commitment – Consultant

Reporting to – School & Government Partnerships Manager

Compensation – Rs. 200/- per hour

Key Job Areas

Operations Management

  • Manage school and government stakeholders, especially teachers, principals, parents and District block education officers
  • Induct and train school staff, parents and government officials and enable them to onboard students
  • Coordinate with the school and government stakeholders to ensure students are doing activities consistently
  • Conduct school visits and follow up with the teachers to collect data related to program
  • Manage the availability of resources for students by coordinating with the central procurement team for dispatching the materials and with the teachers for distributing them delivered materials
  • Support Monitoring & Evaluation in data collection and analysis for measuring impact
  • Report program execution outputs and outcomes to the school and education officers periodically
  • Participate in regular observations of the program execution and share feedback with the program team

Events Management

  • Plan and execute logistics for various TAP program events like hackathons, art exhibitions, inductions, meet-ups, etc.
  • Coordinate with school for the participation of students in the TAP events
  • Coordinate with teachers for regular showcases of students’ work in school through school notice boards, assemblies, Parent Teacher Meetings, etc.

Student Impact 

  • Follow a data-driven approach to analyze ongoing program data and stakeholders’ feedback to understand problems and address them to improve the students access to and submission of the activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any field
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant full-time work experience across sectors/fellowships, preferably in roles that required managing operations
  • Any experience of working with children and varied teams
  • Managed relationships with multiple stakeholders in any role

Translation and Content Review

  • Translate educational content, quiz questions, messages for BOT, documents, and materials from English to Punjabi.
  • Proofread and review translated video content based on TAP’s guidelines, providing clear, constructive feedback.
  • Ensure translations are accurate, contextually appropriate, and culturally relevant.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • A clear writing style with an impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar.

Video Integration and Editing

  • Integrate translated questions into video formats using basic video tools (willingness to learn video editing tools is essential).
  • Review and edit videos post-translation to ensure alignment with original content.

User Engagement and Experience Testing

  • Collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team to design and translate weekly messages for TAP users.
  • Ensure messages are relatable, culturally appropriate, and contribute to a seamless user experience.
  • After integrating all user-facing elements (videos, messages, quizzes), test the entire weekly user interaction journey.
  • Verify the logical flow, functionality, and accuracy of each element to ensure a high-quality user experience.

Skills

  • Language Proficiency: Must have proficiency in reading, writing, and translating Punjabi.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Strong command of spelling, grammar, and cultural nuances in Punjabi
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality translations. Strong proofreading and editing skills for translated content.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week within the timeframe of 10 AM to 6 PM.
  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding of cultural nuances to ensure translations are contextually appropriate.
