National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) is an Overarching National Regulator in India for setting standards and developing & implementing comprehensive regulations for the vocational education, training, and skilling eco-system to ensure strong industry interfacing for improving quality and outcomes based on National Skill Qualification Framework. The NCVET has been entrusted with the responsibilities of development, qualitative improvement, and regulation of vocational education, training, and skilling ecosystem including granting recognition to and monitoring the functioning of all awarding bodies, assessment agencies, skill information providers and training bodies as its focus areas. The NCVET strives to integrate fragmented regulatory system and infuse quality assurance across the entire vocational education, training, and skilling value chain, leading to the availability of higher-level skilled manpower for better employability and accelerated growth of Indian Economy.

National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) under MSDE intends to hire Consultant Grade – II and Consultant Grade – I and Young Professionals on Contractual Basis. The essential qualification, experience and other terms and conditions for their engagement in NCVET will be in accordance with the latest Procedures and Guidelines for engagement of Consultants/ Young Professionals in NITI Aayog adopted by NCVET, which are available on www.ncvet.gov.in under “Notices” Section.

• The number of vacancies shown below are tentative and NCVET reserves the right to increase /decrease the number of vacancies or withdraw the advertisement as per requirement.

• On selection, the selected candidate shall submit a bond to work for NCVET for one year from the date of their joining.
• The last date for submission of completely filled-in application form is 10-06-2024.
• “Consultancy Evaluation Committee” (CEC) constituted by NCVET may devise its own method for selection of suitable candidates, in case, the applications received are more than 03 to 04 times the vacancies advertised.

I Consultant Grade – II, Consultant Gr. I and Young Professionals in NCVET

1. Consultant Grade- II (01 Post)

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum Educational Qualification: M a s t e r ’ s D e g r e e o r BE/ B.Tech or 2 years PG Diploma in Management or MBBS or LLB or CA or ICWA or possessing any Professional Degree earned after a study of 04 years or more after 10+2.
• Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills & Presentation Skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to articulate ideas and recommendations for enabling next level skilling ecosystem.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Persons with M.Tech, M.S. LLM, or additional educational qualifications, research experience, published papers and post
  qualification experience in the relevant field would be preferred.
• Applicants with exemplary contribution in his/her domain or have made significant contribution in policymaking and/or published research papers and articles in reputed journals, will be preferred Work Experience: 08-15 years or above in the following fields:
• Government Regulatory Body; work in Social/ Development Sector; Policy & Planning, Implementation, Supervision & Monitoring in Social/ Development Sector, preferably in Vocational Education, Training and Skilling/ Education and Higher Education domain; Technology/ ICT related fields; Government Consulting; Finance; work experience with international development agencies, preferably in implementation of Programs.
• Upper age Limit: 50 years as on last date of application.
• Remuneration in INR: 1,45,000/- to 2,65,000/- (The consolidated remuneration will be inclusive of all applicable taxes and no other facility or allowance will be allowed.

2. Consultant Grade 1: (04 Posts)

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree or BE/ B.Tech or 2 years PG Diploma in Management or MBBS or LLB or CA or ICWA etc or possessing any Professional Degree earned after a study of 04 years or more acquired after 10+2.
• Good Interpersonal & Communication

Skills & Presentation Skills.

• Strategic thinking and ability to articulate ideas and recommendations for enabling next level skilling ecosystem.
• Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with additional qualifications like MBA/ ME/ MTech/ LLM/ PG/ research experience, published papers and post qualification experience in the relevant field (Vocational Education, Training and Skilling) would be preferred.

Work Experience:

• 03-08 years or above in the following fields:
• Government Regulatory Body; work in Social/ Development Sector; Policy & Planning,
• Implementation, Supervision & Monitoring in Social/ Development Sector, preferably in Vocational Education, Training and Skilling/ Education and Higher Education domain; Technology/ ICT related fields; Government Consulting; Finance; work experience with international development agencies, preferably in implementation of Programs.
• Upper age Limit: 45 years as on last date of application.
• Remuneration in INR: Rs. 80,000 to 1,45,000/- (The consolidated remuneration will be inclusive of all applicable taxes and no other facility or allowance will be allowed)

3. Young Professionals: ( 02 Posts)

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum Educational Qualifications: Master’s Degree or BE/ B.Tech/ 02 years PG Diploma/ MBBS/ LLB or CA or ICWA or possessing any Professional Degree earned after a study of 04 years or more after 10+2.
• Good Communication skills and ability to work as a team.
• Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with additional qualifications like MBA/ ME/ MTech/ LLM/ PG/ research experience, published papers and post qualification experience in the relevant field (Vocational Education, Training and Skilling) would be preferred.

Work Experience: One year in the following fields:

• Regulatory Structure specially in the Government; work in Social/ Development Sector;
• Policy & Planning, Implementation, Supervision & Monitoring in Social/ Development Sector preferably in Vocational Education, Training and Skilling/ Education and Higher  Education domain; Technology related fields; Government Consulting; Legal; Finance; work experience with international development agencies, preferably in implementation of Programs.
• Upper age Limit: 32 years as on last date of application.
• Remuneration in INR: 70,000 (will remain frozen for a period of two years). The consolidated remuneration will be inclusive of all applicable taxes and no other facility or allowance will be allowed.
