About the Project:

About Swadesh Darshan 2.0 Project: Swadesh Darshan 2.0 is an ambitious tourism development project, by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure, aesthetics, and overall appeal of tourist destinations. This transformative initiative seeks to promote sustainable tourism, preserve cultural heritage, and boost the local economy. As the appointed Project Development and Management Consultant (PDMC), we are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator-Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these tourist destinations.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination between various contractors, District Administration, State Implementation Agency and Ministry of Tourism.
  • Project Conceptualization, detailing of projects.
  • Assisting in creating destination specific data/content for initiatives.
  • Development of various presentations, reports and documents.
  • Coordinating scheme level events and initiatives at the destination in support of State/Implementing Agency.
  • Conduct project techno-feasibility assessment

Requirements:·

  • Work experience of minimum 4 years in Urban infrastructure consulting services preferably in corporate or international organisations.
  • Experience in Tourism will be preferred.

Writing and Communication Skills

Team player and ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines. Problem solving attitude. Experience of managing teams.

Willing to travel to project locations for extended periods of time.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented thinker who can juggle multiple, competing priorities.

  • Bachelor’s in Architecture / B.Tech (Civil Engineering) / Bachelor’s in Planning / Bachelor’s in Urban Design with minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Urban Infrastructure and Tourism domain
  • Identification of opportunities to promote Private Investment at both the Destinations
  • Any other task required to be undertaken for destination development and improvement
  • Tracking project progress / resource deployment
  • Assist Destination Management Organisation and Department of Tourism in Promoting private investment and assistance in undertaking investment promotion roadshows.
  • Conduct stakeholder consultation, field visit at Project location

2. Project Manager

Location: Gangtok, Sikkim, India

As the appointed Project Development and Management Consultant (PDMC), we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these tourist destinations.

The Project Manager will be overall responsible for delivery and managing all aspects of the project. The scope includes development of destination through multi stage interventions including development of tourism master plan, identification and designing subsequent projects and support in capacity building and promotion of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Tourism Master Plans, Environment Management Plans, Zonal Master Plans, Project appraisal report etc.
  • Developing framework for tourism performance benchmarking and evaluation model to identify thematic clusters and tourism circuits.
  • Conducting extensive site visits and surveys including stakeholder consultations, activity mapping, data collection, focused group discussions (FGD), etc.
  • Lead and supervise data collection processes, lead stakeholder consultations, and give presentations to the client and various committees.
  • Preparation of project reports, presentations, and compliance notes. Assist in 3rd party inspections.
  • Providing feedback and support on issues beyond defined project scope as per requirement.
  • Team Management, resource hiring, work allocation, timely completion of deliverables, coordination with subject experts & quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate in Civil Engineering / Urban Planning/ Urban Design/ Architecture/ Management.
  • Working experience of 6-7 years in areas related to sustainable development/urban planning preferably in corporate or international organisations.
  • Relevant experience in project management and monitoring.
  • Experience in Client Liasoning and Coordination.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented thinker who can juggle multiple, competing priorities.

3.Senior Manager

Overview:

The Urban Infrastructure & Tourism department at IPE Global Ltd. is looking for an experienced candidate with leadership skills to manage projects, client management and support in business development. Experience/skill sets in sustainable development, urban planning, sustainable tourism in the corporate sector or international organisations preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of projects for key stakeholders like Government, multilaterals/bilateral, Foundations and International development agencies.
  • Lead all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure. Play a pivotal role in project conceptualization, case study identification, component selection, and financial structuring.
  • Make technically sound presentations to client, prepare comprehensive project reports with insightful analysis and timely delivery.
  • Team Management, resource hiring, work allocation, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, coordination & quality assurance.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders through effective communication, ensuring compliance, and oversee budgeting and financial management of the project.
  • Support in overall business development from identification of relevant opportunities to proposal writing to forging strategic partnerships for technical proposals to contract signing.
  • Provide valuable insights and support beyond defined project boundaries, leveraging expertise to navigate challenges and maximize project success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Architecture /Planning with Masters in Urban Design / Planning / Management with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Work experience in areas related to sustainable development/urban planning preferably in corporate or international organisations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Proficiency in the following softwares preferred: Adobe Photoshop; ESRI ArcGIS; AutoCAD; SketchUp.
