Role Summary
The position will support projects focused on Livelihoods. The Program Manager will be responsible for overall program management and for ensuring that program objectives are on track, which will require him/her to work constructively with colleagues across his/her team. The Manager will provide technical direction to program staff and partners in the areas of livelihoods, and continue to align with the program objectives. In addition, the Manager will, on an on-going basis, assess current livelihoods needs and assist in program development, identify partners and stakeholders for the growth and scale of the program. This position requires an individual who is accustomed to a fast paced, biased towards action environment, is willing to travel, self-motivated, and is flexible and highly responsive.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

1. Program Management

• Strategic direction and overall supervision and successful implementation of the program (s)
• Development of work plans and budget management according to project outputs and results
• Manage team (s) to complete program goals on time and on budget
• Evaluate activity progress and determine necessary actions to course correct
• Provide program reports that are timely and meet institutional requirements
• Represent Ola Foundation at livelihoods sector and other related working groups and other stakeholder or coordination meetings, as needed, and maintain a positive, continuous and visible presence for Ola Foundation
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local partners and local authorities
• Travel as per the need of the program (s) and organization

2. Technical Skills

• Review the short and long term plans for delivery of livelihood program (s), and provide guidance to the team to improve planning, management and delivery.
• Implement monitoring systems and data management methods that support routine reporting
• Should have a good understanding or NULM and NUHM framework and various government schemes
• Analysis of program data to report on key success metrics.
• Implement capacity building activities aimed at enhancing skills of team and/or partners in delivery of livelihoods activities.
• Assess livelihoods needs of women in the working age category living in urban/peri-urban areas
• Provide technical input, writing and budgetary input for new program design. Writing of proposals is an essential requirement of this position
• Interface with key donors, livelihood partners like – employers, placement agencies, skilling agencies and women empowerment related agencies including not for profits for program development and scale

Qualifications and Requirements

This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.

• MSW or equivalent degree in social work from a reputed academic institution
• MBA is an added advantage
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years professional experience leading, managing, and implementing livelihoods programs, preferably for women
• Demonstrated background and knowledge of livelihood programs in India
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required;
• English required. Regional languages like Kannada, Tamil will be an added advantage
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently
• Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail
