Engagement for the following positions in NITI Aayog

1. Consultant – Grade I (Agriculture)

Number of Position 1 (One)

Period of Contract For a period of 2 years

Remuneration (per month) Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1,45,000/- (Inclusive of Taxes)

Education qualification

Essential

Master’s Degree in Agricultural Statistics/Statistics/Agricultural Economics/Economics.

Desirable Person with Ph D in the relevant discipline research experience published papers and post qualification experience in the relevant filed would be preferred (Preference will be given to persons having educational qualifications from Institutions of National/International repute)

Experience Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in formulation, appraisal, execution/implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policy, programme of projects related to agriculture and horticulture production, agro-processing, food processing and export including domestic and overseas marketing etc. The experience of internship/training will not be considered.

Job description

•  Analysis of agriculture & allied sector schemes using statistical tools;
• Work on strategy and policy on themes such as agriculture development, domestic and export markets, agricultural advancements, application of IT in agriculture, agri[1]infrastructures, employment opportunities in agriculture sector, development of agri-allied sectors, agro-processing, food processing, supply chain and value chain managements, agri logistics, farmers’ issues and sustainability;
• Appraisal of EFCs, SFCs, Parliamentary Standing Committee Reports, Parliamentary Matters, Draft Cabinet Notes and Addressing other regular FRs;
• Take up of research activities including monitoring and addressing of other ongoing schemes and programmes;
• To provide support to Agriculture Vertical in addressing policy issues relevant at national level including State specific need;
• To assist senior officers in any other work assigned from time to time and
• Any other work related to the discipline.

2. Consultant – Grade I (Energy)

Number of Position 1 (One)

Method of recruitment Contract Based through Open Market

Age Limit Candidates should be below 45 years of age as on the date of advertisement

Period of Contract For a period of 2 years

Remuneration (per month) Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1,45,000/- (Inclusive of Taxes)

Education qualification

Essential

B.E/B.Tech/Degree or Master Degree in Environmental Science/Economics/ Public Policy from a recognised institution of National/International repute. Desirable: Ph.D in Economics/Environmental Science/Public Policy.

Experience

Work experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in project analysis and appraisal, research & formulation of policy, guideline & regulation in Energy/Environment sector.
• Preference will be given to person having publication of articles, research work and report, analysis of reports etc. in National/International journals.

The experience of internship/training will not be considered.

 Job description

To look after the work/project related to State Energy & Climate Index, Issues concerning to Climate Change & Environment, policy issues related to Compressed Biogas (CBG), National Biofuel Policy (including ethanol/methanol), FGD (Flue Gas Desulphurization), Biomass energy, Waste to energy , Green taxonomy etc.

Experience in new & innovation technology research, policy initiatives, regulations, Inter-ministerial coordination take like minded think-tank.

The terms and conditions of engagement of the Consultant Grade-I (Energy) will be according to the NITI Guidelines O.M. no. A-12013/02/2015-Adm. I(B) dated 29.07.2020.

The Guidelines are placed on NITI Aayog’s website www.niti.gov.in. Further it is mentioned that the no. of positions for Consultant Grade-I (Energy) may vary and are tentative.

3. Public Policy Analyst (Grade I)

Number of positions 2 (Two)

Method of recruitment Contract Based through Open Market

Age Limit Candidates should be below 45 years of age as on the date of advertisement.

Period of Contract For a period of 2 years.

Remuneration (per month) Rs 80,000/- to Rs. 1,45,000/- (Inclusive of Taxes)

Education qualification

Essential

Master’s Degree or BE/B.Tech or 2 years PG Diploma in Management or MBBS or LLB or CA or ICWA. Or “Possessing any professional Degree earned after a study of 4 years or more acquired after 10+2.

Desirable Masters in Economics/Public Policy/Social Science. (Preference will be given to persons having educational qualifications from Institutions of National/International repute)

Experience Minimum of three years’ experience in Government, reputed Governmental Organizations, International development agencies and Research Organizations. Preference will be given to persons with work experience in public policy supported by published work/policy papers appraisal/monitoring of projects & schemes etc. The experience of internship/training will not be considered.

Job description Individual Consultants will be required to provide high quality inputs in disciplines like Agriculture/ Economics/ Finance/ Education/ Health / Nutrition/Women & Children Development / Social Sciences/ Engineering & Technology/ Urban Planning and development/ Infrastructure/Skill Development/Labour & Employment/ Environment/ Rural Development/ Data Analysis/ Project Management/ Start Up/ Innovation etc. This would require demonstration of proven academic credentials, professional achievements and leadership qualities on the part of the aspirants.

4. Public Policy Analyst-Grade I (Law)

LLB Desirable LLM (Preference will be given to persons having educational qualifications from Institutions of National/International repute)

Experience Minimum of 03 (three) years’ experience relevant to the job description. Preference will be given to persons with work experience in Legal Policy initiatives, drafting skill of legislations or statutes, strong contract drafting skills and knowledge of Indian contract laws supported by published work/ policy papers/ appraisal etc.

The experience of internship/training will not be considered.

5. Public Policy Specialist (Grade II)
