2. Knowledge Management Specialist

Qualifications
Essential
Academic Education:
Master’s degree in public policy, Economic Development, Public Health, or in the Social Sciences, with independent research work demonstrating the capacity for critical analysis and application of specialist knowledge.
Work experience
Minimum 10 years of working experience in developmental research, knowledge product development, including conceptual research methodology, policy analysis, policy- based development programming, impact evaluation methodology, and qualitative research.
Thorough understanding of the developmental context, preferably with experience in conducting fact-finding programs, data collation and the evaluation of field based raw data.
Experience in networking with government/institutional donors, while working in a consultancy company, an international organization or similar entity.
Good working knowledge in English, Hindi and Microsoft Office software
Desirable
- Experience of creating Knowledge based products especially in area of Environment/ Climate Change
- Demonstrative experiences in strategic planning research concepts and principles, statistical definitions, scientific tools, and techniques, Design facilitation process with appropriate and relevant facilitation tools.

- Support National Coastal Mission related work
- To establish a system for collating data and information on global best practices, lessons learned, evidence from the field and scientific knowledge on ecosystem- and community-based approaches for adaptation in coastal area
- Transfer and create mediums for replication of lessons and best practices – between target landscapes, between coastal states, and between coastal countries in the South Asian sub-region
- Establish a series of annual workshops / training programme, seminars/ capacity building programs / awareness camps / women’s capacity development programmes
- Development of Pan-Indian Coastal Resilience Network, involving tertiary institutions, research organizations and relevant NGOs to share coastal research findings
- Develop, disseminate knowledge products at national, regional and international levels and to share experience and learning.
- Develop nation-wide knowledge products translated into local languages

- Master’s in Statistics / Economics/ Marine Science/Environment science, and Diploma in Project management from recognised university/Institute or Advance certification course in Monitoring & Evaluation or related field
Relevant Work experience
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in Project Performance management, performance indicators, database management Reporting and Research, Strategic planning etc.
- Preference will be given to candidates with exposure in Climate Change adaptive projects/programmes
- Good working knowledge in English, Hindi and Microsoft Office software

- Experience of working with Central and / or State Governments on similar assignments will be preferred
- Experience of working in Climate Change related projects

- Plan, supervise, monitor and evaluate conservation, restoration and management of coastal ecosystems
- Technical evaluation of proposals on development, conservation and management of site specific climate resilient ecosystem
- Provide technical support and guidance towards strategy, planning and project implementation at national and State
- Units for systems research, conservation models (including community livelihoods) and ensure convergence among all components of the project
- Research and adapt the international and national best practices for restoration of various ecosystem types,
awareness and capacity building programme
- Oversee the restoration work, which will be undertaken by Eco Development Committees within protected areas, in coordination with the SPMUs.
- Support SPMUs to develop Target Landscape Integrated Management Plans (TLIMPs) and biodiversity
conservation plan for the 24 target landscapes.
- Support States PMUs in establishing co-management structures in target landscapes to foster community
support in conservation and restoration activities, including pollution management to minimize impact on
ecosystems.
- Developing and implementing community-based / participatory monitoring and maintenance programmes through the co-management structures to maintain restored ecosystems
- Support SPMUs in training and supporting communities in 24 target landscapes – with a focus on local
youth as well as NGOs/CBOs
- Monitor the work assigned to different technical agencies and ensure efficiency, synergy and uniformity in the deliverables for alignment with project outcomes.
- Provide technical inputs on documentation (management plans, technical reports, scientific articles and
any other publication materials) of programme activities.
- Help the project team on coordination between Governments, Consultants, other relevant experts and agencies on matters related to ecological research and conservation management.
5.Finance Analyst

- Design and implementation of the communication strategy, media plan and its execution, outreach activities, and key messaging development.
- Ensure quality assurance for publications, reports, and media materials and organising media meetings/briefings
- Support to State units in communication related matters, Project communique, and their media plan
preparation and its implementation along with budget related work
- Compilation and documentation of best practices and reporting of key performance indicator /output and outcomes of the project as per requirement
- Development of project web portal /dashboard and its regular updation Planning and organizing stakeholders for capacity building and developing better coordination and understanding about the benefits of project with focus on women, youth, and marginalized groups.
- Support development of annual report, including tasks such as gathering, compiling, and analysing data.
- Preparation of case studies, success stories on impact of Community Based events to the communities.
1. The initial contract will be for a period of One year and subsequently based on the performance the contract can be extended
2. Performance based increment in the range of 5-10% will be given on renewal of contract.
