Essential Skills

The candidate should be good at contract drafting, review, negotiation, and legal research. The candidate should also be well-versed in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The candidate should also be good at communication and interpersonal skills. Should be clear in contractual concepts, and exposure to corporate and commercial laws. Should have good writing and proofreading skills, including the rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Description

The Officer – Legal will have responsibilities that will include the following:

  • Drafting, vetting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, amendments, and other legal documents with a good understanding of risk,
  • To make sure that all the agreements are according to organization policies and business practices,
  • Review, interpret, and analyze Revenue contracts, Vendor contracts, MoUs, Master Service Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Vendor Agreements, tender documents, etc., and advise the internal team as required,
  • Maintain Contract Database along with sending renewal reminders and processing/ drafting renewal or amendment agreements,
  • Working in close coordination with other departments and external Legal Counsels, as and when required,
  • Assisting external lawyers with the information required for legal proceedings and sharing regular status updates internally,
  • Ability to quickly grasp legal and business issues and support business according to priorities,
  • To review/improve /enhance internal policies/procedures/documentation in accordance with Legal and regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis in consultation with key stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualification:

LL.B (5 years) or equivalent qualification preferable specialization in Business laws and IP rights, or any other qualification in line of areas of specialization.

Desired experience:

Background of contract review or other transactional legal work during internships, previous work experience will be preferred.
