About the Dell Aspire Scholarship
Dell Aspire Scholarship (the Scholarship) will provide comprehensive support to empower high potential students to embark on meaningful careers and become leaders in their chosen profession and communities. With an audacious goal of supporting 1,000+ students by 2035, the Scholarship will initially be launched in two of the top tier-1 undergraduate colleges in Delhi, post which we intend to further expand the coverage.

About the Position

Contract Duration: 11 months (can be extended as per work requirement and candidate availability)

Capacity Required: Full Time

Title: Consultant – Scholar Success, Dell Aspire Scholarship, India

Office Location: New Delhi, India

Nature of Work: The role is hybrid and will be based out of the Foundation’s Delhi office, with 2-3 days a week at the college campuses.

We are seeking a nurturing individual that enjoys working with youth and will be passionate about empowering Scholars on the program so that they can achieve their graduation and career goals. The Scholar Success Manager will be responsible for providing direct student support to mitigate academic, financial, wellness, and career-linked challenges that Scholars may face during their graduation. This individual should be self-motivated, learner-centric, and solution-oriented. Specific responsibilities include the following:

Scholar Engagement (40%)

  • Build strong relationships with Dell Aspire Scholars and develop strategies for academic success and personal growth.
  • Organize and facilitate a wide range of group activities, including sports tournaments, cultural showcases, coding sprints, and other engagement programs for overall development of scholars.
  • Provide career advisory support, including resume building, mock interviews, and personalized job search strategies to guide Scholars in their career exploration, internships, and placement journey.
  • Coordinate master classes and conduct practice sessions on effective communication, problem solving, career exploration, presentation skills to enhance career and life readiness.

Project Management (30%)

  • Coordinate the interview process to help identify students meeting the eligibility criteria and onboard selected Scholars to the program and the foundation’s technology platform.
  • Facilitate creation and tracking of individual goals and create personalized support plans for scholars, including referrals to tutoring services, learning workshops, or mental health and wellbeing sessions.
  • Liaise with the learning partners to ensure timely and quality delivery of learning interventions.
  • Ensure the timely collection and update of all scholar information (learning interventions, counselling sessions, attendance, etc.) on the foundation’s technology platform.

Performance Tracking (30%)

  • Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with Scholars to assess their academic progress, personal well-being, and overall college experience.
  • Identify Scholars who may be at risk of academic underperformance, mental health issues, or other challenges by analyzing check-in data, academic records, and feedback from faculty and staff.
  • Create and execute a plan for course correction along with relevant stakeholders for at-risk scholars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with ~ 3 years’ work experience (preferably of working with university students)
  • Experience with job placement and recruitment agencies is preferred
  • Experience with student counselling and placement
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sound communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborate well with interdepartmental teams across geographies
  • Comfort working with data and technology to effectively measure impact
  • Agility when faced with shifting priorities and comfort while dealing with ambiguity
