About the project
CKD will be implementing a new and exciting three-year research project in 5 tribal districts of Jharkhand with an objective to improve access to nutrition in tribal communities. The objective is to build evidence on the role of social accountability in improving nutrition services to tribal women and children. The project will closely work with relevant stakeholders in the State to improve the uptake and access of services under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY).
1.Block Coordinator

Job Description
Position Summary
The Block Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator to manage the programme intervention at the block level. S/he will provide technical and operational guidance to the Community Motivators in improving uptake and access of nutrition services under ICDS and benefits of PMMVY among tribal women and children. S/he will build capacity of the Community Motivators and implementing partners/stakeholders at block and Gram Panchayat level on social accountability, grievance redressal and people driven campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Technical and Operational Support
- Lead the project implementation in the blocks and community level to improve the awareness, coverage, and access of SNP and PMMVY schemes among the tribal communities.
- Establish social audit process in the block in guidance with Social Audit Unit in the state and district.
- Establish and strengthen the grievance redressal mechanism in the block to address the gaps in SNP and PMMVY schemes.
- Provide technical and operational support to panchayat level team to prepare their workplan and implement the project activities as planned.
- Handhold and build capacity of the team in implementing community-based activities and social audit
- Conduct monthly reviews meetings with the field teams to improve the quality of intervention.
- Conduct field visits to support the panchayat level team and to provide input and guidance to keep the ground level intervention aligned with the overall programme objectives.
- Ensure timely entering of data into programme MIS by the Community Motivators, reviewing entered data to check quality and authenticity and sharing feedback to improve quality. S/he will also share recommendations, observations with the district team for program decision making.
Capacity Building and Quality of Implementation
- Design training calendars in consultation with the Project Coordinator and roll out in the block.
- Facilitate and organising Gram Panchayat level trainings.
- Create a pool of Gram Panchayat level resource persons to implement trainings at Blocks and Panchayat level.
- Ensure the quality of trainings, use of modules and tools, job aids etc.
- Conduct post training supportive supervision and mentoring visits involving mentors to continue handholding and capacity building of the project team and the stakeholders.
- Provide contents for developing reports, case studies, practice insights etc from project activities and the community learning.
Coordination and Partnerships
- Work closely with Block Commissioner Office, CDPO, Rural Development, Health Department etc and maintain coordination with development partners, CBOs working in the blocks.
- Participate in block review meetings of Government, share learning, experience, and recommendation to address gaps in the implementation of SNP and PMMVY schemes.
- Provide guidance to the Community Motivators in participating in block review meetings of Government and follow up on the decisions taken.
- Facilitate circulation of the minutes of meeting from block meetings and follow up actions.

- Graduate or higher qualification with 3 to 5 years of experience in managing community-based intervention on social accountability, food security and nutrition.
- Experience of working in Jharkhand in close collaboration with Government department in implementing government schemes at block and Gram Panchayat level.

2. Senior Construction Manager

Job Description:
- Assist TL in total project responsibility, scheduling, safety, staff compliance, staff developments and reviews, monthly job status meetings, quality control
- Assist in planning and executing construction activities.
- Plan and coordinate construction activities on daily basis.
- Have thorough knowledge of all major project issues and priorities.
- Keep superiors informed concerning the progress of the project and any issues that might affect the schedule, budget or status of the project.
